I can relate to this video. When I first watched the profiling videos I hated T1...yes I know that is a pretty strong word but the whole notion of light, fun, crisp just made me cringe. In my self discovery I finally saw these things in myself and it was quite a break through. Lots of tears and healing of self inflicted hurting just lifted away. I have a slower secondary that I suspect is a 4....I need my quite and down time. But a hummingbird I will always be! Thank you so much Carol!

I relate to hummingbirds. Is that associated with T1?

Oh, Shelly is sooo charming, cute and light! My search was very much like Shelly says. I also thought that T1 is silly and T2 seems to be pretty close but more softer then me, so I should be T4 cause I'm serious and I need time on my own. But then I read the book (I've started to read it from T4 :))) while reading about T1 I've began to cry. It was like I found a huge part of me, which I've lost years ago trying to be serious and strong. So thank you very much for sharing!

I immediately dismissed Type 1 but didn't feel comfortable in the other types. I actually accepted my type 1-ness after realizing all of my retro kitchen decor and dishes are Type 1 colors and starburts! haha Now to take the course

Hi Carol, Thanks so much for making this video. I'm a Type 1/4 (who spent nearly 3 1/2 years studying the books before deciding I was, Lol). I finally see where where my anxiety and inner tension have come from - my true higher movement pent up in my very still secondary. It's like putting a humming bird in a straight jacket! And even though I've been dressing Type 1 for a year now, I still haven't allowed myself to 'move' like a Type 1. This video caused a huge breakthrough for me! Thanks again to you and your guest!

I have the same phenomenon. My dominant type 1 is often at odds with my secondary type 4, like a character on each other shoulder lol. My new awareness is to notice when type 4 tendencies is outweighing my lightness.

Shelley's comment about allowing herself to move freely alleviating her anxiety was an emotional penny dropping moment for me. Another unexpected facet and nugget of life enhancement facilitated through this supportive programme of DYT. Plus she looks fabulous and relaxed in her skin :-) thank you for this video, always more to learn :-)

Oh my, yes! That’s the other thing I wanted to say or remember! Trying out moving, giving myself permission to move more. I must’ve capped that really young, I can’t remember being a very overly active child. But my favorite sport has often been dancing! I’m starting to allow myself to do that more, and what she said in the video about her when she started moving more she noticed her stress or whatever start to dissolve… I think that’s something for me to implement, to find ways that are fun for me to do that regularly. Thank you!

I’m still unsure if I’m predominatly type 1 or type 4. When I read type 4 it’s like one ‘aha’ moment after another, but then I feel like maybe this was learned. I can’t be as stiff as type 4 but yet everything I do or say has a reason for being. I analyze everything from big to small and that brings me happiness yet it’s the squareness of type 4 that prevents me from choosing that fully. I can be very structured and sometimes even in cases like emergencies I’m so level headed only beacuse I’m analyzing the situation and not feeling it. This I have had since a child. People are always saying I have common sense and my nickname was, ‘smart cookie’ yet as a baby it was ‘electric squirrel’. Not sure which is my nature and which one of the two types was learned. I honestly feel 50/50. I don’t doodle but when I do it’s a smiley face. Though I do it to more to say hello to someone on paper and not as a doodle as such. I like gold jewelry and like it round though as a child and young adult wore silver. The bright colors of type 1 sound like a nightmare to wear. I always get compliments when wearing all black, crisp white, true red or all pinks. (Except muddy pink). I am confused and would love to hear anyone’s experience so I know which type to follow and proceed with the program.

I was ultimately brought here by Diane in Denmark (love her). After a fall/winter of convincing myself I was into neutral colors, I felt completely suffocated by my closet. It was so lifeless. And I LOVE being bubbly, upbeat, energetic and positive. My dark, drab wardrobe - which I convinced myself was refined and polished - was killing my light. I passed those clothes along to charity, and have restocked my wardrobe in bright, beautiful colors that make MY heart sing!!! I relate to Shelly so much. My fun colors make me more confident and able to talk to others, too. Thank you Carol.

Like everyone else commenting here, I love this video and think Shelly is adorable! I can relate to much of what she said and I too thought that I had to be a four because so much of my personality is four-like. I am a 1/2 and I do have some four traits but I am not a type 4.

I was so shy and reserved as a child I could never imagine that I might be a secondary 1 but as I've grown and learned to find my voice I am told by my husband that I talk too much! I'm also goofy when I'm comfortable with people. I was convinced I was a 2:4 but I'm now wondering if I'm a 3:1 or a 2:3. I am not extroverted enough to be a 3:1 and not spontaneous enough to be a 1:3. Just last night I asked him why he was attracted to me and he said because I was fun! No one has ever called me fun! I hate big rides and being out of my comfort zone which is what I associate with a fun person. I'm so confused thinking about my school years. I'll have to re-read the book! Xx

I love this! I’m wondering if her secondary is a type three, because her thumb had such a strong angle on it when she showed her hand. For me I’m kind of similar. I thought I was a type 2 like she thought she was a type 4, until I really took a good look at the face profiling stuff and discovered more type one! And then I started discovering it everywhere :-).

I'm super curious... Is there a "dark side" to energy types? Like, with a Type 1, could they struggle with anxiety? With Type 2, could they struggle with depression? Etc.
