I love how everyone you spoke to on the street seemed so happy to be talking to you. Such immaculate vibes. I also love Kevin the dog and Kevin the man in the same video. 🥰

I like the photos of the hands behind the back. Given me some ideas. Know the New Islington area well as I regularly go there for my lunch breaks.

G., A very worthwhile film. Lots of useful suggestions on warming up before getting into the game and on tactics once you’re on the field. The practice drills are great suggestions as well. Overall, one of the best street videos I’ve seen in quite some time. A well-spent 8 minutes. Thank you.

Things that blew my mind as I was progressing from beginner to amateur to intermediate: 1. Just because I have colour vision doesn't mean I can see colour. Colour theory and white balance seem like they're easy. 2. Layers are better than bokeh. Context makes photos better than nuking backgrounds with buttery out of focus smudges of colour. You typically want to capture subject, time, and place for a really good storied image. So for example commuters waiting 1m apart at the bus stop with N95 masks on. Bonus: what I'm working on now 3. Composition isn't just a feeling + the rule of thirds. Dynamic symmetry exists I recommend everyone try it out. At least work with a couple of the lines exclusively for a day and see how you feel.

#2 is something that a lot of people seem to get wrong. I guess it's because the more expensive gear typically allows for shallower depth of field and there's so much talk about bokeh so it must be the thing to go for. In reality, blurring out the background completely makes pictures more random and less exciting. It's the time, place and context that really makes pictures stand out.

What kind of nonsense is this? The other KZbinrs said that what I need to get better photos is this new lens.

What really matters? What if you are the best? What next? Keep improving? What if you are not? Keep improving? So in the end, you just need to keep doing what you are doing and keep improving? And don't kill anyone while trying

People tend to buy cameras and basic courses, but they overlook the simpler aspects that involve human relationships.

My thoughts exactly, getting too stuck on numbers, rules and specs can mean you miss out on the interpersonal skills you need to get the right photo

That's fair, I think that often comes just after the feeling of overconfidence, it has for me in many hobbies I've dabbled in

They give up because the novelty of their new toy (a camera) has been replaced by another shiny new toy, which they will also stop. As jimmy saville once said you need dedication to be the best!
