I found that God was just telling me what "not" to do for a long time, but when i finally gave myself to listening to the "No, Stop" he was saying, after a while, that voice actually started telling me not only what Not to do, but what also would be best To do! Remarkable, my chest feels fuller when i listen, almost like im getting stronger.

Peterson is simply acknowledging there is a difference between giving advice in a therapy session, as a psychologist tasked with learning about complexity of each person's situation and finding a way to empower them to solve it, and giving a broad set of principles that may help other in general. Such as "Treat yourself as someone you're responsible for helping" which I bet brought more of his viewers that may have not ever considered into therapy if their issues were complicated enough. As for the implicit accusations of grifterhood, his social media account on youtube is has been up for a years prior his popularity around Bill C-16 disagreement, sharing his University of Toronto lectures for absolutely free as well as Quora. But I'm sure you already knew that.

Brilliant . Here is a rather relevant piece I wish to share from Viktor Frankl's amazing book 'Mans search for meaning'' 'Man should not ask what the meaning of life is, but rather he must recognise that it is he who is asked. Each man is questioned by life, and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life. To life he can only respond by being responsible . Thus Logo therapy sees in responsibleness the very essence of human existence'.

The "conscience" is what some call the persistent behavior of "imagination" in illustrating the complete state of awareness of the being in the last moment; then, again, with each passing moment. As the "form" spirit takes, its body, imagination is always perfectly truthful. But the being can write into imagination, as well, truth that is not perfect, that is, failing in the wider context. Fudging what we know to be true for the sake of immediate comfort is the weakness of inurement that life experience serves to cure.

There you go Doctor, I think you’ve been hearing from God your whole life - at least since your vision. And if you call His voice your conscience I’m okay with that - many won’t be. But I have faith in God He will continue to reveal Himself to you as a Person/Being capable of loving you, listening to you and calling you His son. Think about it, we are not made in the image of conscience, right? But I believe there is soooo much more to our conscience than we’ve ever been able to search out - Science just can’t because to do so would perhaps mean to touch God:) Ah, He is so mysterious, I love HIm. Also, we have to learn God’s voice, we do so by reading His word (the same way we learn each other’s voices, we have a manner of speaking that is usually different between all of us. Without seeing or hearing them, you can distinguish between Dostoevsky’s manner of speaking and Jung’s; your wife’s, and your son’s, etc. God’s voice cannot be mimicked, not to His own sheep. We know His voice.) I like your approach to God and conscience, sound enough doctrine for me, being open but also spiritually raised during the Charismatic word of faith movement. I’m hard to please when it come to the things of God, that’s just the way it is. Did this feel different to you? Maybe like stepping into an expansive magnetic field:) I wouldn’t be surprised if you felt something different. You are breaking out of the lecturing discipline and learning to sail along side the Spirit of God. That happens for one reason: all the biblical scripture/word that you’ve read and understood and applied in your life. Man’s knowledge is insufficient, this is how I know He’s been speaking to you through His word - and of course it’s obvious in your videos captured on this site as the months go by. It spills over onto everyone else as good fruit. Something shifts around the 8:30 mark. I felt it and heard it in your inflection. Now I would say that’s Him:) Okay, I will offer this, know that after an event like this, when you finish you will feel something like empty, or drained. It’s temporary but sometimes difficult to manage. It’s the same feeling Jesus dealt with after coming off the Mount of Transfiguration. When we open ourselves to the Spirit - it’s impossible to maintain this without being drained, I mean the power of God is flowing through you - we will experience a vulnerability afterwards. Prone to be more agitated, annoyed, impatient or down. Same thing happened to Jesus (Matthew 17.1-20) Your message was excellent as well. Your own voice seemed to well up from the deep to hits its mark. That’s what happens when you allow the Spirit of God to aim and deliver your arrows:)

Doctor, if you are experimenting with ideas, that’s one thing. But if you’re planning to formally state the idea that the conscience is God’s voice I would hesitate to green light it. There are a few very good arguments here in the comments already. They can’t be ignored if you are formally pursuing this. Let's think through it for a second. I dug back through my documents and found some of what I posted to you about the spirit within the human. One question might go back to the Jungian idea of self. Here’s what I said about it: “I believe the self is included in the ‘soul’ or the mind/will/emotions of a human. I don’t believe the self is Christ or divine in any way, but part of the human. What Jung calls the Self is what I call the Holy Spirit, which is separate from us as humans, is the true Divine, is alive, and is within us as born-again creations in Christ. God is the inner voice that guides us. And I do not believe these are interchangeable ideas.” Maybe Jung’s self could be better seen as our own conscience or our spirit, not the Holy Spirit. Here’s more: “Your spirit man, (who is in constant connection with the Holy Spirit, Who searches the deep and unknowable mysteries of God ), now must be led by the Holy Spirit, because He is the only One who knows just how far in God you can go, and how to get you there. (1 Corinthians 2.10-11).” Do you think scientists created the word ‘conscience’ in place of the spirit? Because God forbid they give any kind of credit or reference to an unknown fairy in the sky, ha. Here’s the other problem you have; the conscience can be corrupted, I think you even said that once in an interview recently. Here’s Paul: “Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron..” 1 Timothy 4:2 So saying our conscience is THE voice of God is incongruent with the nature of God. Those opposing you could easily tear your argument apart here. Below is the result of the corruption, stated here as ‘reprobate minds’ but I see no issue this this being called our conscience: “Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice.” Romans 1.28-29 So you’d have to work around this by stating that we hear the voice of God through our conscience, or something like that, and the more reprobate or corrupted we allow our conscience to get, the less we can hear or understand the voice of God when He speaks. Some people in the comments say something like ‘I listen to that voice and it tells me to do bad things..’ Well, they aren’t reading God’s word or listening to it. I can guarantee that. Look, Science does not include ‘The Anatomy of the Human Spirit’ for a reason: they can’t see it or prove it. I’m surprised they even lend a eye to the conscience. But why couldn’t the conscience be the human spirit? (Not the Holy Spirit, not God, but our way of connection with the Divine?) Someone here said it was what became corrupted when we ate from the tree of the k.g.e. Makes sense to me that we could then need to ‘wash it with the water of the Word/Logos. I mentioned we have to hone our hearing to the voice of God, just as we do anyone else. We do that by hearing the word of God, spoken and written. This ‘cleanses’ our spirit/conscience to hear Him properly, thus keeping us from that reprobate mind and doing whatever our carnal nature pleases. This may even be where our ability to choose right over wrong is centered. I’m not sure. Our minds ‘renewed by the washing of the water of the word’, so it’s all interconnected. I’ll let you figure that out:) Hope this helps. Sorry, it’s early, this is rather sloppy, I had to dig around in folders to find some of this with little coffee yet consumed~
@ashleygatewood Жыл бұрын
I received an answer today from my inquire to God about your revelation. It’s not that I don’t trust your thinking, I know you are seeking thoroughly and in truth, I just cannot allow myself to be swayed by who you are as opposed to what you think. So the word says, “This will be the third time I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established” (2 Corinthians 13:1). One thing’s for sure, I’ll be on your side, but I certainly won’t be a ‘yes-man’ to you. So, I must concede my argument… “…your conscience, it never leaves you. Now let me define conscience for those of you who are in the kingdom: Holy Ghost. Can I say it again? Y’all getting deep on me. What is your conscience? Holy Ghost.” ~Dr. Myles Munroe, Life is Not A Game Pre-2014, so I know he’s not repeating you or taking your own revelation that God has given you. Or maybe you did know each other:) Regardless, this is enough for me. So the conscience is the Holy Spirit, that's how Munroe states it. But the voice of God and being 'alerted' or 'guided' in conscience may not be the same thing. God decrees things that have nothing to do with our conscience. 'Let there be light.' So God also has a voice and can speak from within and without. From what I know of the scriptures, I can’t drop my argument that He must be regarded as outside the human being and not carnal because He is not human, but the Third Person of the Trinity. He is God. I’ll search God more on this, but for now I cannot be moved on this. The minute He is relegated to the level of human and not properly understood as ‘a part of God within us’, (which I’m fine with saying) then I can’t go any further. I'm excited for you, God is showing you great things~

10:40 "Abraham will be the father of many nations". Jordan gives the meaning of that, which is of course not God meant and Jordan likes to think in metaphores which is understandable. But the true meaning is as follows : Galatians 3:6 "just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham." And therefore, Abraham became father of many nations since like Abraham, we believed God - Abraham being called "The father of faith".
