Darrel I want to add my thanks. Some background to give you context: My wife and I have been camping, hiking, backcamping in and around Yosemite and the backcountry of the High Sirras for over 40 years. We dgo up specifically to Yosemite 2x/yr by tradition, and pass through even more often on our way to the East Side. Even with all that the experience, the increasing complexity of the Yosemite reservation system[s] has lately proven dounting. When my wife referred me to your site I wasn dubious, ney doubtful I would learn anything, yet lo and behold, your tips made all the diferrence. THANKS. Darrel, Thank you so much for your tips. I used the world clock and kept at it even tho I was watching all at the camp sites disapear before my eyes! OMG. I've never seen such a thing! The sites and dates were gone in 30 seconds, seriously! But I kept refreshing and actually got a site, not for as many nights as I wanted, but I did get my #1 pick for a campsite. Thank you. If you get a reservation from a son’s account wouldn’t he have to go with you on the trip? I have been doing everything you suggested but as you noted some may have a better connection or just luckier.

Don't give up. When you Son's account makes the reservation.. he can just put your name down as the Primary Occupant instead of himself. It's also really important to continue to try and make a booking after the initial reservations are made. Folks drop/cancel their reservations and then you can scoop them up. The first time we got reservations it took us 50 minutes after the booking window opened up. You got this !!

I will give that a try. He usually joins me but this far out I don’t know if he can. I am leery about logging onto my Recreation.gov account on multiple devices as I am not certain if that would be stopped. Thanks again!

@GoldenK9Campers So, I was able to get my number 3 choice within the first minute (after losing out on my number one choice within the first millisecond of release, using the world clock as my countdown, but I knew that one would go fast anyhow). And after 10 minutes of hitting refresh, my number 2 choice became available! Thank you again for your awesome instructions and advice! It most definitely helped! :D

It's really not that bad. Just be ready when the campground opens for reservations. We've got Yosemite Reservations the last 3 years. Just be ready and be patient.
