its karate. its not boxing, this is more of an intense point striking sport. and the judges are there to protect the fighters. he just took a fucking kick to the face without any head gear. so yes the judge will call it so that they dont seriously injure eachother. which, one of them has a split lip sooo.

It was very close kick but nit a clean impact. You can stop the video at full extension & it only brushed the side of the face. However it was a very good attempt. If that kick had made solid contact to the chin, it would have done a lot of damage & the fighter would have likely hone down.

Tournament fighting is much different than real fighting. Even though that kick was VERY IMPRESSIVE, It didnt have much of an impact in the realm of "stopping the threat". Once kicked, the guy continued to come forward and was ready for more, but the other guy was too busy showboating and celebrating. In a real fight the guy kicked wouldve taken the guys head off while he was celebrating
