Very cool! I think some turned out better than others in accuracy to the doll, and some that looked like the doll looked less human. All of them were interesting, though, and it was a fun brain workout to make the comparison looking for similarities and differences. I think my favourite has to be The Enchantress Nadja. Tullabelle is another standout.

This is just proof that now days, anyone can be an artist. No working on their own talent, no hard work, no studying the masters, no hours of practice learning technique and no originality. Just plug it into a computer and create art. I am saddened that people don't realise these are the first steps in killing the art world - but hopefully, like Vactors in 2002 (virtual actors), this trend does not last. I do not support this. What makes IT dolls so appealing is how they're sculpted by hand by an artist, and worked on by artists in the factories. How the sculpt and paint make them unique. This just looks fake. Disappointed.

There is indeed some talent here. This didn't just get plugged into a program and spit out as a finished product. If you read the beginning, this was a combination of AI generation and photoshop. I'll bet it still took many hours. With these IT dolls, the original dolls (which my spouse will vehemently argue are also not art) still remain. These photos are a type of fan art which imagines the doll in a form that it will never exist (i.e. human). Also, this is done for enjoyment, not for profit. It is a creative act. I think people do realize that the art world is in jeopardy; most people don't purchase actual art, so they don't care. The stature of artists and writers has been on the decline for decades. I am not happy about that, particularly not about the decline of actual journalism, but most people are at risk of losing their jobs or having them drastically change because of computers and technology. The train has already left the station, and dolls are the least of our worries.

Well, I hear and I can understand your reasoning. Indeed today it is very easy to generate "art" with these new AI tools and I understand the fear or the confusion that it can generate in some people. But I don't agree with you about my work on these "in real life" characters. If you had read the description of my video, I said that AI was a starting tool to generate a face, but that it was quite difficult to make them look like dolls. After many attempts to get the whole face right, I had to use Photoshop (I am a graphic designer). Each portrait took me about 2 hours of work on Photoshop to come up with a result that was as close as possible to the face of the desired character. So personally, I consider that I used my talent and my 10 years of experience as a graphic designer to create this project. To finish this, I would say that AI has the ability to create art, music, literature, etc... AI is not a substitute for human creation, but a new tool to enhance creativity, like a person's relationship with a computer or smartphone.
