I was an NFL (speech and debate) nerd too back in my school days, too! I loved it, and it did so much to help me speak more confidently and in front of an audience. Since I basically talk and persuade for a living, it was a huge blessing for me in preparation for my future.

Well...Papa Dave, your sense of humor is amazing. She's a nurse! Nurses making great money. 👍 I am a sigle mom with two kids. My stupidity put my family at risk of just making it. Took a huge pay cut thinking it will save my sanity with less stress. Nothing is more stressful than not having enough money to support your family. I have a "never again" moment. And Pray for a second chance! ❤🙏🙏🙏

Back in the early 90’s my mother’s friend found a pill inside of her baby’s Gerber food jar that was sealed upon opening and she went to Gerber’s headquarters and threatened to sue with her lawyer. Gerber then gave her a HUGE amount of hush money. News outlets were hesitant to release the story because Gerber had a reputation of keeping media companies “quiet.” After knowing this, I’ve never been able to look at Gerber the same especially with countess other open lawsuits occurring that did make it to the media. I also can’t help but wonder the purpose of what that little pill was. I honestly still think about it. At first I wondered if it were a hoax but Gerber was so fast at shelling out money once the proof was presented. Her and her child are taken care of for life. Also I did find other stories like hers years later online.

Parents, listen to AO here. Debate is a SUPER high-value afterschool activity for your kids if they're interested in how the world works. Changed my life. Makes ANYONE a better presenter and sophisticated consumer of information.

I loved public speaking and debating. And if I had a dollar for every time my report had the comment, “talks too much in class,” I’d... have a LOT of dollars haha.

Anthony flat out insulted this man at 1:46, "date a man better than your father." This man was brave enough to expose his failings and fight to change his life. It was a cringe worthy moment. These traits are EXACTLY what the daughter should look for. I think it's Anthony that needs a "quick lesson" and if he needs, I can explain it to him later.
@alycewich44723 жыл бұрын
@Parisa9 Resident - Anthony didn't mean to insult Heather's dad, but as a parent, I would want my kids to marry better than me! Yes, he has grown immensely over this past "Never again!" moment. However, Anthony was talking about the previous man who kept going into debt and going bankrupt. And, yes, the wording could have been better.
@parisa9resident4563 жыл бұрын
@@alycewich4472It was Dave that saved the moment by adding the prior man comment. Thank heavens because the look on the father's face says he wasn't quite getting the sentiment either. I'm a fan of the show, I don't think any of them are mean-spirited intentionally. But...gah...what a blunder.

I put a child rider on my term life policy that is $6 a month for all 3 of my kids. We decided that in our grief, we didn't want to worry about funeral expenses on top of a bad situation.

Excellent livestream today! Thanks! Are there any handy promo codes that are currently active to assist with the cost of beginning the program and purchasing a few key books... Thanks either way, these shows have been so eye-opening and I appreciate all the work you and your team do. I just stumbled upon your livestream today and, after listening in, I have vowed to not end this day without ordering (and actively beginning) this program. I've been procrastinating since June 2020, and after the livestream I realize how unacceptable of an approach that is.

Barbra you better consult a tax professional. You will probably have to send the government the taxes when you take that large of a lump sum distribution or quarterly payments. I know from experience if you owe more than $1000 when you file your taxes there are penalties you will have to pay on top of the tax. Those penalties could be pretty substantial on that much money. The IRS wants their money now.

AO needs to backdown on the "Yes man" routine when he's on with Dave. I prefer a co-host that challenges the host instead of saying, "yes... right.... I'm with you".

What awful advice on cashing out the 401k house pay off all at once. That will probably incur a 30% tax meaning she has to liquidate $260,000 just to get $179,000 all at once from a 401k. Not to mention she was probably making 10% growth on that money to pay off a house that costs 4% or less interest.

It's not the math, it's the piece of mind. Also, you're forgetting risk. In the short term that % growth assumption doesn't work.
