Nice tips, but. 24 frames looks like a slide show if you are used to higher frames and vice versa; 60 frames looks unreal if you are used to power points. Its all about what you are used to.
@NoName-uy2hr5 жыл бұрын
24 is the standard cinematic look. I personally like to film in 120 or 60 and put it out in a 30fps timeline, so i have room for slomo and have a fluent clip but it doesn't look unreal. But thats just my personal opinion
@a647385 жыл бұрын
24/25 fps is a sideshow if you use short exposure times and look absolutely horrible. Also 24 and 25 fps give stuttering when watched on 30 and 60 fps in youtube and on a computer in general.

Thanks for taking the time for making this vid. Just a note from a motorcyclist - you can’t mount gopro on your chest because you won’t see anything but the front of the motorycle. So helmet is the only choice. Also, are you not a bit concern about having this metal thing jammed straight into your chest if you fall? But I like the concept of distance to speed you mentioned, I wouldn’t think of that, so thanks. Also, the tiny gimbal is a great idea, cause I could possible mount it on the bike instead my head rising the safety a bit and lowering the wind intensity on my head :)

Quick question, what app are you using?
@yutehube44682 жыл бұрын
I have watched tons of GoPro videos about settings and this is the most important one! There's a newer version of this but I still prefer this original video. I thought I could outwit the advice given here and whacked the color profile to GoPro for night footage on the streets, this made dark parts darker and lights lighter - the opposite of what you want on night footage. What I got was horrible footage where I had to have the ISO on 3200 (instead of 1600 ISO which works well on the "flat" color profile) and because the dark parts were darker and the lights lighter, it looks terrible. I went back to 1600 ISO and flat... I don't think it's possible to improve on that now for night footage on the streets (cycling). Here's my settings and the only thing I change between day/night is White Balance on 5500k for daytime, Auto for night time: Resolution: 1080p FPS: 24 Lens: SuperView HyperSmooth: Boost Bitrate: High Shutter: Auto EV Comp: 0 White Balance: 5500k (Day) Auto (Night) ISO Min: 100 ISO Max: 1600 Sharpness: Medium Color: Flat

With the 7 having hypersmooth it makes gimbals irrelevant to a certain extent. If you have enough preparation time and want to get that smooth shot, go for gimbal. But if you're like 95% of all gopro users, you'll just want to put it in a bag with no gimbals or gadgets and just want to record what you're doing, Hypersmooth is the way to go

You're lucky yours has good sound. I have the Hero4 Black and it has a high frequency pulse every time I shoot in 4K. I upgraded to the Sony frd-x3000. Huge improvement IMO plus the BOSS stabilization. Maybe not on par with a real gimbal, but definitely great without additional accessories.

How do I get to the settings on the app? I have a GoPro HERO7 Silver.
@mrrobotwebdesign1975 жыл бұрын
you dont need an app for the silver edition...its touchscreen display-go directly to the settings..click on the bottom part of the screen to scroll up your video settings-hit protune to turn it on then the rest are there

Him: Gimbles aren't too expensive, they're ONLY 250 DOLLARS!!! Me: umm......part time working teenager that can barely make 150 dollars a week.....that be very very expensive

Then you break the gimbal in 1 crash. I had one and always found I didn't ride to my full potential because I didn't wanna break it. I don't have $200 laying around.

Why do i feel like the editing and color grading software you are gonna say is Davinci Resolve?

Exact comment I was going to make. Can't believe more people don't use it. I thought it was easier to use than Premiere...and the color grading makes a GIGANTIC difference. The downside to Resolve is that you need a pretty decent computer.

¡Mike B! colorgrade with resolve then swap to the resolve
