I visited St Paul’s Basilica last September 2023. Rome was our first stop before we flew to Spain to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostella. My friend is an art historian so she loves to visit the museums and is such a great travel partner! We loved St Paul’s. It was nice to see it again in your video! Thank you Alyssa!

Very nice. We visited this about 30 years ago. Parts I do remember (all the popes, the Easter candle, and the design) but seeing it on the video is very informative. Io sono stato battezzato in questa Basilica. Perché sono nato e vissuto per 22 anni nello storico quartiere della Garbatella. A poche centinaia di metri dalla Basilica di San Paolo.

HI Alyssa your videois very interesting but there is a big mistake: the byzantine bronze door is not the central one, more recent (1932) and made by Maraini. The Holy Door is the first on the right and the original medieval panels inlaid with silver are visible inside. The side on the courtyard is recent and made to protect the original one. This church needs big attention, because its origins are very old.
