You're one of the few authorities I follow on the topic of endurance training. Keep it up!

Good video thanks. I've been wearing a garmin for over a year. Of the many metrics it produces HRV and Sleep score are the ones I am particularly interested in, but I never make training decisions on those metrics, they're informative not my coach. It's made me almost quit alcohol as poor HRV tracks exactly with drinking

I love your channel but i died inside a little bit when you said "Legos"... 😔 You are far more intelligent than me so I'd genuinely like to know why i often hear American people say Legos as a plural of the brand name product Lego? Is the same as when i jokingly refer to more than one sheep as "Sheeps".. knowing full well that's incorrect? Great content, keep up the good work 😉👌🏻

@@Lazy_Jay_Racing the plural of Lego in the states is Legos. So when we talk about the individual pieces, those are Legos, not Lego bricks

@@Lazy_Jay_Racing I actually don't see how it's materially different than the vernacular of Band-Aids, Q-Tips, Post-Its... These are all brands we pluralize because saying adhesive bandages, cotton swabs, and sticky notes is not natural. There's no barrier to comprehension, so people just continue to use those terms. There are a ton of regional variations in the English language even within this country... It's bound to happen with almost 340M people

This is excellent info, and perfectly timed for me. I just got a Garmin Instinct 2 watch a few months back and was intrigued with the HRV metric. The documentation in the app for what it is is kinda vague, and I really had no idea how to make use of it.

Great video and a really interesting topic! I’ve had great success using HRV to monitor my health, especially in recognizing early signs of illness and knowing when to slow down, particularly during the onset of a cold. For anyone interested in how HRV can be used as a broader health metric, I highly recommend the book The Pulse Cure by Dr. Torkil Færø.

@@user-ij9vm3dr6r it's definitely a neat metric. The reason I have stuck with whoop for so long is the journal function, I wish they let us export the data, but it's neat to plot lifestyle habits against recovery metrics over time. It's an objective way of understanding if a supplement is supporting recovery consistently, food is interfering with sleep, etc.

@ for the average person I 100% agree with you . But , like you said with the Zwift racing, you NEED to be within 2% of your trainer to not get ANL, I have tested out multiple trainers and over 5 different power meters this year and the SRM is the only one that’s been within 1% consistently why both my elite justo and kickers

The whole Zwift racing scene at the moment though is a bit of a joke . But I’d love to hear your thoughts on it in a video .

@@haydenpucker6109 I have had the Garmin Rally pedals for years, within 1% accuracy. Reconciles with my Saris and a Tacx Neo. DC Rainmaker has done a number of tests proving that Garmin Rally and Favero Assioma are accurate within the 1 and 2 percent they publish respectively. I am surprised that these wouldn't be sufficient for E-Sport... they seem to track well within a pretty broad power curve
@haydenpucker61097 күн бұрын
@@EverythingIsPhotogenic my garmin rally’s costed me an ANL one time during a race and same with with current female UCI world champion and VICE world champion. They are good for a while then they can slowly drift off . I’m not saying yours are wrong AT ALL . But there is definitely something there that’s not 100% accurate. For example, do you ever noticed how your trainer usually higher than your power meter ? Theoretically that should never be the case. And with the SRM, it’s finally not. The SRM is always a couple watts higher.
