This is very powerful. I let go of my egotistical pride when I made Jesus Lord of my life. Submission and yielding to God every single day dumps pride and makes me/us childlike in front of the Father. I am simply unable to live a life in worship, humility, peace, forgiveness and love on my own, I need the help of the Lord and that means surrendering my life. Pride keeps me and us in a life governed by our self and the world…..spiritually quite meaningless. God bless you all through our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

Seriously no offense, but it seems ironic to say that one let's go of their pride by themselves "making Jesus the lord of their life." Not to nitpick but just a kindly observation of how we may deceive ourselves in subtle ways, the devil undermining Jesus ultimate authority over everything, how could we make him anything? We must confess that we never had a choice upon our salvation by God, he made us his, not the other way around. Sorry if I seem argumentative, much love and Christ's peace to you, thanks.

I think it’s just basically you’re very self-conscious. You want to appear a certain way and you’re uncomfortable with yourself. But when you know God, you know that you do not have to create an image. I think that’s the answer. Most people today who are of that nature don’t know God and don’t feel loved. And they feel they have to create an image.

Great sermon , the dog illustration is off because dogs fight over position of what they love and want. I have found that living close to Our Lord Jesus in the Spirit will keep us taking the lowest servant place. Our pride comes from our insecurity but in the love of Jesus there is peace and rest especially the hitch to say " look at me, look at me" but Look at Jesus. All the world is filled with a spirit of competition animals are filled with it, glamour queens and actors, great doctors and great preachers. But leaning on Jesus breath, filled with His spirit constantly saying to thee apostal John. " John let me get there now!" It has taken me forty years to learn this and I am marching on learning what living in the love of Jesus is. Oswald Chambers teaching on sanctification has helped in this so much. Give to Jesus Glory Love Bill a Salvationist in the Salvation Army

Dogs and humans are not to be compared. Animals do not have a soul . Humans do. God gave us freedom of choice. Animals don’t have that. Through freedom of choice, we are bad or good. An animal is never good or bad. The animal chooses through survival instinct only.

I'd be fighting for a seat in the front of the bus, especially if it were greyhound, because greyhound doesn't enforce their no smoking policy and there are passengers smoking in the back of the bus and in the bathroom, so there is cigarette smoke in the back of the bus and I'm allergic to smoke, so I'd be in the front of the bus.

How can lust be the least when lucifer lusted for, grasped for flesh? Why would a Bishop make a point to refer to lust as the "least" of the Capitol Sins in such a cavalier way? Why would a Bishop refer to a movie that contains blasphemy as his "favorite movie of all time"?

QUESTION : What is the unforgivable sin? ANSWER : Would you believe it’s BLASPHEMY? Insulting the invisible guy in the sky or making jokes about him, apparently you can commit the most heinous crimes against humanity including mass murder, rape, incest and theft but if you convince God that you’re genuinely sorry and promise him that you’ve embraced his doctrine you’ll be forgiven and permitted to live in bliss in his magical fairyland after your death here on Earth. But if you commit the sin of blasphemy you’ll spend eternity being burnt and tortured in Hell regardless of how good and altruistic you have been during your life or how sorry you are to have blasphemed against him at different points of your life, you’ll never be forgiven. Doesn’t this sound a little strange to you that this ego driven God is so obsessed about himself and his petty feelings? God is sorely in need of a thorough psychiatric assessment and he should be told to get his priorities in order.

Indeed, it is a disgusting and criminal act. However, this action is not condoned by the Bible. It's like when there were those bad cops in the news not long ago. There are bad individuals but the police dept as an institution still has a virtuous/noble purpose. The institution however is made of imperfect people.
