Oh... This is part of why everyone is so in love with Polites... Like I got it before, but now it hits even harder and I didn't think that was possible 😭 To put on the writer's cap though, I have a feeling Jorge felt enough of Polites's characterization was shown off in Open Arms. Thus this song, while lovely, wasn't necessarily pushing the story forward as much as the others that made the cut. While this song solidifies the closeness of their friendship, it and Open Arms both display Polites's compassionate nature and worldview as well as his status as a symbol of goodwill, healing, and hope.
