So I received my checklist to custom order the TAB 400 and then decided last night I was going to watch your videos again and then went down all these rabbit holes and now I am rethinking the TAB. I will be boon docking (off roading too) and need to make sure the max can make it in and out of the wilderness…I’m still researching! Thanks Randi for your videos which are helping me make a better purchasing decision.
@RandisAdventures3 жыл бұрын
I know what you are going through! It’s a big decision but you can’t go wrong with either the Little Guy Max or the Tab 400. If you are going to be traveling down wilderness roads I would strongly suggest you get the Roughrider package. It has enabled me to get to places I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to access.

We really like the size of our Little Guy Max trailer. Being one of the smaller trailers in the park is fun. We also replaced the drawer rails in camper. We have not had too many issues with the door, but plan to add the door stopper. Thanks for that tip! Just noticed we also have a scrap on the toliot lid like you have. We got our trailer used and it came that way.

I want to live part time in South Texas. 95 degrees 24-7 in the summer. Any advice for VERY HOT TEMPERATURES when boondocking??
@RandisAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott! I have not boondocked in Texas but the summer temps get hot and humid in Minnesota and I have depended on my Jackery 1000 to run a small fan and that has made a world of difference for keeping my RV cooler at nights for sleeping. 😴

Hi Randi! How big is your fresh, gray, and black water tanks? When you’re camping in the winter how much LP do you carry and how long does it last per each tank? Can you get all of your gear into the camper or do you have to put some of it in the truck? I don’t remember ever seeing a video where your awning is out. Do you use it and how big is it? And finally, what is a rough rider package? Thanks.
@RandisAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dan! These are great questions! How big are the tanks? The fresh tank holds 20 gallons, the grey tank holds 14 gallons, and the black tank holds 9 gallons. When using the furnace during the winter, one 20 lb tank lasts about two nights. Most everything fits in the Little Guy Trailer. Firewood, and my husband tools are kept in the truck bed. I don't use the awning too often. The awning extends 6.25 feet. I do wish it extended further. The Rough Rider package adds heavy-duty tires and an axle riser to gain ground clearance in those tough spots. 15" Off-Road Tires & Wheels 2.5" Axle Riser for Added Clearance I hope this is helpful Dan

Hi Randi - new subscriber here - really enjoy your videos and your energy! Quick question: My wife and I have traveled extensively with our LG Mini-Max. We purchased "Rosebud" because of the twin bed set up (we're both under 5'10") that allows us to avoid having to crawl over/wake our SO when getting up during the night. Our Mini has worked well for us; further advantaged by mods we made (removed table, extended width of twin beds) to make our camper even more livable. Ok - all that said - we are envious of our Max-owner access to a dinette. We would consider an upgrade to a Max, but wonder how well the queen-size/crawl-over requiring bed works for you and your husband (and others on this thread)? Thanks again for your entertaining and informative channel!
@RandisAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dan! I have heard others complain about crawling over another when duty calls in the middle of the night in the Little Guy Max but I don’t mind it. I sleep on the inside and Tom never seems to mind when I crawl over him. It is not the perfect scenario but to get a queen size walk around bed would mean a bigger camper trailer and probably slide outs. Right now I am not willing to give up the conveniences this small trailer offers for a walk around bed. Just my opinion... I hope this is helpful for you! 😊
