In mischief rule the focus is on curing the mischief, which means to prevent the misuse of provisions of a statute. As per this rule, the meaning of the statute should be interpreted in a way, where there is no room for mischief. Golden rule modifies the language of the words in a statute to successfully interpret the actual meaning of the legislation.
