Better than ektar I say! :D If you combine the sharpness of the film stock with a f1.4 lens you can leave the mamiya RB at home. :D 2022 is really wild. I missed 400D somehow. I'm always a little too slow.

Oh they are. :D i used my voigtländer 35mm nokton f1.4 usally @ F5.6 for most shots.

Oh that was really nerve-wracking. Normally I take pictures without having to achieve a certain quality. I shot both movies in two days in a row because I actually didn't have that much time and good weather. I also had eien roll loaded incorrectly and thought I already messed it up. I was glad at the end that everything worked out :D I'm sure you'll enjoy this film too!

good idea to use the film in autumn. here in my region there are always such great yellow birches and every film so far looks washed out.

Strong reds and yellows are able to overexpose the red channel. The green channel mostly makes no issues. If you have a bad look you got red or yellow mud.

Sieht auf jeden Fall geil aus, überlege mir auch zu kaufen, aber wie kommst du darauf zu sagen, dass der Film billig wäre wenn wir in Deutschland Gold immernoch für 4,30 € bekommen, da ist der Santa immernoch doppelt so teuer

Das stimmt man bekommt Kodak Gold für den preis wenn es überhaupt welchen gibt und das auch nur hier in Dt. Andere Länder haben da leider kein Glück. Die DM karte mit der Verfügbarkeit ist allerdings komplett rot. 😅 Allerdings von der reinen Qualität muss man es eher mit Kodaks Pro-line vergleichen. Ektar kostet im Moment eher 13€ pro rolle. Dagegen ist es mit 10€ / Rolle schon um einiges günstiger.

Silberra also has a relatively clear film base. Since silberra's headquarters are in russia, we probably won't see the film again anytime soon. 😅

This may well be that they are quite similar. Unfortunately, I have never been able to try out Pro image. At the moment, however, you can not buy it. Allerdigns of example images I can say that santa color is less warm and the green tones also have less saturation.

Have used ProImage 100 in the past here in the US (but have not been able to get it in the last year) -- and compared to ColorPlus 200, Gold 200 and UltraMax 400 it was definitely less saturated and more "natural" overall (not 100% what the eye sees), and with a very fine grain. But there are a few differences with this emulsion that you have tested -- I don't recall any halation and the reds were a little more tame. To my eye the greens/blues seem very similar. I always liked ProImage -- as it was a great neutral palette for most subjects and could be tweaked in post-production without it starting to look tweaked! So this emulsion looks like a great "neutral base" for beginner and experienced photographers. I'm tempted to order a 5-pack -- but the shipping pushes the price up a little too much.

Why shouldn't the beautiful money that you got for the development of military not immediately pack into a consumer product. Yes for a 5-pack the shipping is indeed high. However, the price for a 10-pack is lower anyway and per film shipping too. Maybe you can find a buddy to order with.
