man, this woman is continually brilliant. i've been playing and writing my own stuff for 25 yrs or so, and just when i think i've come up with something good I'll listen to something from Ani, and think "damn. i gotta go practice"

I love Ani's music in every version I've heard, but this age was about my introduction to Ani DiFranco. Hearing it again is transporting. She knows what she wants to say and hits it both musically and vocally. ...Those Lee Press-on Nails and Tape FTW.

Love this .. only as beautiful as the gemstones from the earth you collect and try to better oneself in time to become beautiful and to know yourself 🙏💯💪

Is there anything more beautiful than a radical human singing about deep truths?!? Add the context of the Philly Folk Festival, an artist in full bloom and at the peak of her observational, poetic, and performing powers and you find an inspiration that nourishes and emboldens me every time.

@deliciousmorton Hm, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. I did not say anything about money. I also don't know what you mean by, "How do ya go from Your Next Bold Move or Subdivision to Yes We Can?" I would need to know your interpretation of those songs and their differences to even understand what you're trying to infer.
@vivianmari14 жыл бұрын
@TonyBurke100 from me that was intended as a very big compliment to ani :)

maybe she just has new and different stories to tell :) To quote Ani herself "we never see things changing, we always see them ending" (slide)

Calm down... I actually like DiFranco, which is why I came to this site. My comment is absurd. It's called IRONY!!!!!! Hyperbole at best. Like, when Portlandia made fun of Eddie Vedder with an Ani DiFranco tattoo. Try not to be so sensitive and you'll see through things fine! Good luck!

I love to listen to her lyrics, and then reflect on the fact that she has a net worth of $5 million.
