Moreover, if the curse of little to no audience is lack of engagement and community, a large audience will put immense pressure on you to please them instead of doing what you want. and what if my desire for easy and carefree life is higher than anything else so my passions is only hurting and tormenting me? i've been taking meds, they didn't helped with it at all and i can't change it anyhow. I want to create beutiful things, my own stories, worlds, creatures, characters, be very creative and original like some asian artists or idk, but in the end, i just can't make myself to learn anything because learning is uncomfortable, painful and hard, and i can't enjoy doing something because it's overwhelming my brain and hurting me from seeing i can't create what i want and can't do it good, my brain naturally can't bear the slighest amount of stress/hardships and endlessly escaping from all those responsebilities and from reality, from my life and myself only to feel peace and not having any pain/stress. I've been forcing myself to draw at least something (or i would never become a good artist and will achieve nothing!) and in the end, after 5 years, i only destroyed myself completely and now i'm just existing as walking corpse without soul.

This is a funny coincidence-- after I saw one of your last videos about "Harnessing your Stallion" I used that template to finally start a project that I've been thinking about for years: Painting the entire alphabet of flowers combined with various animals (what I call "Fleurlings"). I was so hung up on wanting to do this project but not being able to decide on the constraints... what kind of creatures did I want to make? How many should I make? Etc. I kind of arbitrarily settled on the alphabet because I just needed something with a clear deadline, and I can't help but find it funny that the alphabet is what has inspired this project for you, too! Because of that template you made I was able to stop the analysis-paralysis, choose SOMETHING and then actually begin the project. I'm a little over halfway now and I've already had a publisher reach out to have them all turned into a book (set to release in the Spring). So, thank you for the motivation!! Looking forward to seeing where you take this challenge.

Hey so! Thanks so much for the superset. Ive got to M so far. I just realized while watching another one of your videos today that, the superset is a bit like the coin trick you describe, of putting coins from one tub from another. In the sense that the more of it you get done the more your confidence and motivation grows and your sticking power. I had a week the other week where i nearly packed it in, but then a discord user said hey...........we are neatly half way. and yeah, i guess thats a similar effect. Now im considering making a little tub with coins for the rest. Anyways Thanks so much. Since i joined your project ive managed to write 13 songs that would never of got written, and performed two live shows that never would of happened! Plus its helped me to heal from the fear of having a psychosis again (Has not happened again since 2015) by trusting myself and daring to create consistently. So yeah. Really awesome you made that for free for everyone!

I've only just found your channel fairly recently and already your videos have helped me get better in my life. The videos regarding Motivation, Procrastination and Perfectionism have really made me think more about how i'm using my creativity. I would always wait for inspiration to get motivated; I would always Procrastinate because I was either bored or didn't believe in myself; and I would always get angry or depressed if my work of whatever i'm doing isn't perfect enough. But, after watching a bunch of your videos regarding these topics, I realised that everything I was doing was not the right way to go around things. Your methods of focussing on 1 task instead of multiple tasks at the same time, doing an action first to inspire me and then gets me motivated to do more work as well as focusing on achieving 70% instead of 100%, all of them I use now as they've been really beneficial for me and have gotten me to actually do stuff now instead of sitting in my room procrastinating, watching videos all day and nothing else. So, in all sincerity, thank you so much for making these videos. They've helped me a lot the past few weeks and have inspired me to get better and be a better person that I was before.

One of my favorite things to do in the world are game jams- where individuals or teams of people get together for 24, 48, 72 or more hours and slap together a game with all the rough edges and bugs and passion they can muster. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the notification and thumbnail, but *six months* of one game per week? That's easily the most daunting project I've ever considered in my life.

@@beccyshore1303 I think that defeats the purpose of the exercise, doesn't it? A brand new idea each week that you work on and release. Get into the habit of putting your work out there, instead of just toiling away at it for ages, or getting stuck on some far-fetched idea that doesn't pan out, or freezing because your work doesn't meet some unreasonably high standard you've set for yourself. That said, I *have* considered doing a single game in which there are 26 levels/areas/whatevers, one for each week. I'm still mulling over whether it fits the "spirit" of things though.

YESSS! Thank you for sharing anyway - I've been in the same boat. crippling shame stopping me from sharing what I create further fueling the shame. Knowing you feel it too brings me so much hope- there's nothing wrong with me, or you, or anyone else experiencing this. It's a natural side effect of out current social system. But that doesn't mean we don't get to choose to share anyway. I feel relived of so much guilt. I wish I could give you a big hug. This comes at EXACTLY the right time. And could just be the kick in the ass to get me started on a project that's been simmering in the back of my head for well over a year now. I gained some momentum after your Stallion Theory video, but ... well ... ... ... you know how it is. So this challenge is just perfection! Thinking about the thing, is not doing the thing.
