Can you zoom the image up and down for regular or widescreen to get any aspect ratio you want with constant height?
@JilesMcCoyАй бұрын
You can scale for sure. Not sure it will alter aspect ratio though.
@geickmeiАй бұрын
@@JilesMcCoy How could it not? Aspect ratio is contained in the format. So if a widescreen movie comes on you want the screen to get bigger, not smaller - at the same height. Easily done with my projector.
@JilesMcCoyАй бұрын
@@geickmei How could it not change the aspect ratio of incoming content? What are you wanting to do, non linear stretch maybe? Usually you use a madVR to do that kind of video processing.
@geickmeiАй бұрын
@@JilesMcCoy This is getting silly. First you tell me that you are not sure it will alter the aspect ratio, then you say you are not sure how it could NOT alter it. Let's start over. When I am projecting a 16:9 normal screen it has a certain height and width. When a widescreen movie comes on I can use the motorized lens to zoom it up to fill the screen again at the same height, but wider. Can a video wall do that as well?
@JilesMcCoyАй бұрын
@@geickmei A video wall does not have a lens. Its not a projector. You can use the LED wall processor to scale an image larger or smaller, but Im not sure if it will be able to alter the aspect ratio if you are seeking to do that. Changing the aspect ratio (converting 16:9 to 2.4:1 for example) and the "size" of a fixed aspect ratio in the confines of the screen are 2 different things. Ultimately, if you are asking if there is a solution where you can have a scope aspect screen (21:9 ish in LED wall world) without big black bars on the top or bottom, yes, you can do that. But its not the same methodology of zooming in a projector so you have massive overscan on the top and bottom.
