Nas comparisons aside, he's got bars. I was at his debut show at Webster Hall, he did his thing. And he's a NYC rapper who sounds like he's from NYC.
@tochiRTA9 жыл бұрын
so in other words, he's trash. Don't you NYC cats see how this is killing your scene? This is why other coasts are laughing at you now. You cosign the wackest niggas! (or wiggas in this case)

tochiRTA Yes, cause Your Old Droog is a new artist. You're saying that he's the kind of artist killing the NYC scene, so which NYC artists are doing the scene justice?

***** rappers like chief dont last long at the end of the day rappers who really have skills are always going to be relevant especially the 90s emcees ... 20 years down the line ppl are going to remember real emcees like nas but who is going to remember a lot of these non lyrical rappers who do not even last that long

I doubt it. He really sounds like he's biting off of nas.. hard. The same way action bronson bit off of ghost face's style and how troy ave bit off of 50 cent. A poor mans replica will never be as good as the original. This guy needs to work harder on developing his own style.

I was watching Cormega and Corey Gunz on Drink Champs, heard DJ EFN say something about his album and features, then went to Spotify and searched it. The album popped up and I listened to one of the best put together hip hop albums of 2015-2016. How that album drop and I ddnt know about it. There was a Droog cut on the LP. I heard that and now Im here. Droog got barz.

I feel like people only compare him to nas because they love comparing artists to other artists and nas is the closest one. I honestly don't hear the nas; I do hear some 90's golden era bars, though. That's all. He can spit, why does everyone always try to find a way to downplay someone's talent? I don't get it.

He sounds like a mix of Nas and Game at times. He gets busy, but he's just another rapper as far as I'm concerned. I won't go rush out to buy his music. He's coo' though.
@BigBangTheory929 жыл бұрын
My sentiments exactly. NYC cats gotta understand it's all about transcending the game and moving forward if everybody comes back sounding like a boom bap rapper then the game will never grow. Dude gets down though but he doesn't make me feel like he's fresh.

No oppression of Jews in the Soviet Union? LOL. There was systemic oppression of Jews from the government, never-mind dealing with everyday racism.
