The black screen at the end was 22 seconds which could relate to the fact that the person she was dating when she was 16 was 22. He took advantage of her naive love for him and never gave her any of the love back. Also she was underage obviously.

So three things. I really like your reactions. Please use subtitles so you don't miss the lyrics. On all the Billie videos I've seen they put an extended chunk of black on the end to avoid the KZbin gremlins from putting suggestion boxes over the end of the piece.

Yes Billie did this but the reason she put 22 seconds was because the guy that she was with was 22 so she put 22 seconds of nothing 😁

Congratulations on pushing through, despite the snake. As far as the subject matter, Billie has talked about an abusive relationship prior to the one shown in her doc, so assuming (as many are) that this is specifically about that is a step too far. She has said this song stems from her own past experiences, as well as those of others. And that matters because what is important about his song is not its biography, but its applicability: to the countless people being strangled by the uneven power dynamics of their relationships. Sorry for the novel. I've, em, been thinking about this song more than is perhaps healthy.
