As a veteran getting health care from the VA getting affordable health care is great and I lose no sleep worrying about the color of other beneficiaries.

The real issue is mankind's unwillingness to repent in order to allow Christ to govern the heart: "But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed." Rom 2:5. Always has been, always will be. Thus, the need for redemption. Anyone from any generation that rejects Christ after hearing the gospel has no other choice other than to be governed by the spirit of anti-Christ. Perhaps one might ask what is the gospel? "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," 1 Cor 15 3-4. As important as all other issues may be, they are secondary to the need for redemption from the domain of sin for all people! Let’s face it, our world is inevitably going to wax worse and worse. The signs of the times are right before our very eyes and yet folks neglect to see them. Thus all the assessing of why things are the way that they are will not change the results of evil as "the heart is desperately wicked" [Jer 17:9]. Here we are trying to change society and yet we are unwilling to allow God to change our hearts and follow the true God rather than a god of our own beliefs: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,” Rom 1:18. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” Jhn 3:36. How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation [Heb 2:3-4]? This is your day! Don't neglect such a great privilege!

How can someone disparage handouts and talk about birthrights in the same sentence? Am I missing something here?

I find it interesting the conclusion is we as Americans can find common ground against Nazis, which was once a uniting thing.. and no discussion that we also used to find common group against Communism, which was once also a uniting factor in our history.. that is a bigger red elephant than the rest of it.. we're talking ideologies and throwing around racism accusations shuts down the discussion. Fascism in any form should be the uniting cause, right?

We have to show people that if they stand up against Facism that doesn't make them an evil lazy marxist communist.

Michael Boulware any kind of wealth redistribution that isn’t voluntary requires fascism to enforce, unfortunately.

@@inlonging Not necessarily. If a few market players create the right incentives you can modify trends in how resources are voluntarily allocated. Give people a way to generate investment returns and the conversation chsnges. Look up impact investing, mission investing, Living Cities Initiative, etc.
