Utd are struggling with having only 1 of 6 central defenders available and no left backs. Even City would struggle with this level of injuries. Utd have been sub par this season but I have never seen such an unfair tirade of abuse against a manager, particularly after the fine season he had last year and the problems beyond his control that he has had to confront.

Why do you think City doesn't deal with many injuries at the same time having such a small squad and playing more games in more competitions? They usually have 2 or 3 players out, that's it. After dealing with so many injuries, you have to wonder what is wrong. Are they buying players with no discipline that don't take care of themselves? Are the physios not good enough to rehabilitate players after the matches? Are the doctors not good enough to treat players and push them to the pitch at the right time? Is the management bad and they are not training properly? Because a manager like Guardiola wouldn't tolerate this situation, he wouldn't use injuries as an excuse and do nothing about them at the same time. Plus, what the injuries have anything to do with them bottling the games every time they are playing decent?

Don't get me wrong he has made many mistakes but what I don't like is the intensity and intention behind their questioning which, in case you haven't noticed, is not done to anyone else with anywhere near the same intensity. The media castigation of Man United's manager is an industry in itself-demonstrably! And I stand by my comment that any professional football team is perfectly capable of beating anyone else on the day, especially in cup matches. That is the allure of the FA cup in particular and as we all know, or should know, football throws up just about every possible scenario when it comes to performance and results.
