So the very thing that everyone claims to make the FA Cup so “special” is an embarrassment when “David” almost beats “Goliath”?! It’s a cup semifinal and both teams showed up to win in a winner take all situation, kudos to Coventry for having a go and props to ManU for prevailing in the penalty shootout. People need to get off their high horse and remember why they love the FA Cup (even when it almost happens to your team)!

I love the way Ten Hag compares his team to past Man Utd teams and has the audacity to presume his team is better. The past teams won Premier Leagues, were competitive in UCL and still managed to be competitive in the FA Cup and League Cup. That's the big difference.

Personally I think after David de Gea was sold it tore something out of that dressing room that had been there longer than any of the players there now and had won more than any of the players and he wins the golden glove getting Utd into the Champs League and his reward was a revised lower contract and then Utd pay £50m for Onana. Who was in charge of all this bit of business because to do him over like that when he was a top performer sent shockwaves through the stability of the team. People dont realise how important de Gea was to how this team plays, Ten Hag bought slick tyres for a wet day with how the team is, other decisions on who he has brought in that arent good enough, its not a pretty picture...

If you have 2 center backs as slow as Maguire and Casimiro and then take the main man that can play CDM and put Ericksen on and to also take the only forward off that can help the back four and leave Rashford on, then it is the Managers fault. He is tactically naive!

Did I miss something and Coventry went through? Wigan beat city in a FA cup final and there wasn’t nowhere near the same talk of Embarrassment. It’s one of biggest game of there lives we have seen numerous EFL teams fighting relation knock out top 6 teams at full strength it’s what the cups about. Back to back FA cup finals for a team in a shambles and overloaded with injuries is far from embarrassing. Now if we are talking the league the players should be hanging there heads in shame bar a few

Yes the circumstances on how United won that semi finals match was embarrassing but they got there in the end with a nerve racking penalty shootout. Pity Chelsea weren't clinical enough against Man city, missed chances from Jackson and a penalty not given to chelsea cost them. It would have been more interesting if City were knocked out, then United would have played Chelsea in the fa cup final.

The recruitment has been mediocre. Who checked out the personality of Martial before signing him, a guy with no fight in him? Who scouted Anthony, who NEVER goes on the outside and ALWAYS shoots into row Z? Who failed to realise that Real Madrid were selling Varane because he was injury prone? Why has a center defensive midfielder been repeatedly overlooked (OK, Casemiro, but he's getting leggy and others were needed)? Who came to the conclusion that Lindelof was of the same calibre as Ferdinand or Vidic or even Johnny Evans? Who decided to sign Mount who has no match-winning capability? Get some smart people in charge of recruitment PLEASE!!!
