Dallell Mejdoub it is not genetic, but that is a common misconception. It’s caused my trauma as a child. This can be emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, or can be an incident like witnessing a family death. Although traits of ASPD can be seen in adolescents younger than 18, it is not considered ASPD. It is instead diagnosed as conduct disorder. Once they are an adult, the diagnosis ASPD comes into play.

Archadyx It doesn't have to be caused by trauma. Genetics/the brain has a role in the aspd. Many of them have brain abnormalities. It's right that trauma OFTEN has a role when it comes to aspd but not always. In the end it mostly has a multifactorial cause (Sorry for my bad english)

The emotional mind responds very irrational and it’s difficult to predict emotional responses based on your actions. I got sent out a lot during school because I use to bluntly honest. Like one time a girl got hit by a car and I said it was a good idea if the doctor would put her down. I still think it’s a good idea. Teacher and students didn’t think so. Of course I care about my family more than anything but I can’t relate to most people. Dog bite your finger then destroy it. It’s only now at 19 I feel anger which is a first because of bad decisions which wasted time but I think that’s normal but I started feeling panicky lately which I never did. I don’t know.

Psychopaths are not evil. They are just people who have been born with an underperformed amygdala, making them unable to have empathy or pro-social emotions. They can and mostly are good people still - they become soldiers, doctors, firefighters, etc. This overall is a very dumb perspective, you should do more research.

Phenomenal acting from the kid. The character he is playing, Griffin, is himself also acting, deliberately presenting himself for others outwardly as a perfect, well-mannered child, and the way the actor portrays this is so spot on. Like it’s been very well practiced, yet it somehow still feels slightly off as there is a complete insincerity and lack of genuineness behind it despite how carefully it is performed. Yet you can tell when the actor is showing Griffin as displaying his real emotions - his brief moment of shock when Dr. Charles catches him before he picks up the act again, the self-satisfied air he has when he’s successfully manipulated people and is getting his way, the child-like fear and anger when his parents acknowledge that he has done wrong as his mother yells ‘what did you do” and his father drags him away. Just really incredible how such a young actor can portray all that so well!

Being a doctor is actually one of the top 5 chosen professions for psychopaths (the others being banking, law, media and sales) - having the power of life or death over patients plays directly to their narcissism.
@dancesmokesmile3442 жыл бұрын
A lot of surgeons are narcissistic too, some with antisocial personality disorder too. Those surgeons tend to be good, not because they care about the patients, but because they care about the praise they get for a good job, literally having control of if they live or die, and because they want to be the best. I’m not sure what I would feel if the surgeon doing a surgery on me was a narcissist or not. They could probably be extra good because of that, but I would want someone to do it who cared about me as a patient. It would probably depend on what kind of narcissistic traits they had if they end up being good or reckless

Why aren’t they cleaning up that blood Straight away
@jaimiehex94205 жыл бұрын
It's an ER, they were trearing a life threatening wound on a person. I think the least of their concerns is the blood on the floor
@samichait45555 жыл бұрын
Well the blood could be infected or poisoned so like having blood on the floor isn’t very sanitary so they rly should be cleaning it up as soon as possible.
@jaimiehex94205 жыл бұрын
@@samichait4555 yes you are right, blood can have all sorts of things. Still, ER rooms are not cleaned like that. Apart that it is not a main concern (patient lives go over anything), in ERs they try really hard for nurses not to clean anything because that can lead to a cross-contamination and it takes them away from their main job, patients lives and care. Janitors take care of the cleaning of those rooms, 20 is about as fast as they can clean one of those rooms if they don't look like that (all the blood on the floor + equipment used), it would take them at least 30 minutes. So again, it is not a main concern to an ER. Still a child wouldn't be allowed in like that, they might me occupied but they are not stupid (that's actually the most fake thing about the scene).

That overall is such a dumb question. Psychopaths are born with a differently functioning brain, usually an 18% smaller amygdala. They are unable to feel empathy or pro social emotions, but they still can - and most of them are - be good people. The way this was portrayed is just so dumb and inaccurate. You can't just base every psychopath on Ted Bundy. Most psychopaths turn out very well functioning members of society. They are not immoral - just amoral, and they are able to learn cognitive empathy, etc. Psychopaths are born psychopaths due to diff genetics. This makes me so irritated. Edit: wording

What disgusts me about parents like these who try to cover for psychopathic children is they're not just putting themselves (and their other child!) at risk, they're putting anyone their psychopathic child interacts with in the present and future at risk. That (and the fact it's pointless because if the kid doesn't get the necessary professional help, they'll likely just end up in jail as an adult anyway) is why I have very little sympathy for them.
@ayushibhanja2 жыл бұрын
i don’t know i don’t think it’s as simple as that. i think parents will go to lengths to protect their kids even if they don’t deserve it, because very real cognitive biases can get in the way of them realising how their child could possibly be dangerous. it’s such a difficult thing to grapple with, and i kind of understand.

@@markneillmusic9082 yeah, I'm a psychopath and know alot of others and fking nobody talks like that or makes it so obvious that we have a disorder since it's not something to flaunt, especially since people view it at dangerous. That kid easily could've played a more realistic version were you pick up on subtle clues but the show was just like "ayy look a kid psychopath so creepy and scary"
@aperioculus19884 жыл бұрын
@@aetriandimitri190 Yeah but this is a child, one who might not have learnt how to behave with subtlety. As you get older you learn these things and learn to keep those aspects of yourself, to yourself. I am intrigued though. Like most people, I see psychopaths as dangerous, untrustworthy individuals out for themselves, with no regard as to the emotions or wellbeing of others. Probably a very narrow viewpoint and one I hope doesn't offend you, it's just the curiosity in me to think of someone admitting psychopathy whilst also being wary of it.
@aetriandimitri1904 жыл бұрын
@@aperioculus1988 I'm fine revealing I'm a psychopath to complete strangers since there's no downside to it, but with my friends I keep it hidden from everyone besides a very select few. Also it might makes sense that he doesn't know to hide it if he doesn't know people see psychopaths negatively, like hasn't seen much news or films, and his parents also seem to be protecting him. I was able to watch a lot of films with "psychopathic" villains who everyone described as pure evil, so when I started realizing that I had some of those traits (though not as stereotypically bad) it was clear I should hide them

This child is an amazing actor most adults find it difficult to portray psychopaths he should 100% stay in the acting business
@hautakleightontam7715 жыл бұрын
It's not THAT difficult. All you have to do is keep a stoic face (maybe a little smile) in situations that would normally be extremely disturbing. ASPD usually manifests as a lack of reaction.
@moppitukka32535 жыл бұрын
For the love of god, begin to give credit to the director already. Ridiculous how many people still think that the great actors make the movie. No actor is naturally good, trust me with this. Its the director who pushes the performance out of them. How I see it it is 50% actor and 50% director.
