Hey Steve!! Where have you been all my life!! Just found you on the Tube, and am absolutely blown away by your tutorials, and your little bits of sarcasm in between by the way. Being a Voice teacher myself, I really do appreciate these lessons. Learned pianos late in life, as most things I do, discovered the guitar, easier to transport and play at parties. Then have come back to Piano the last couple of weeks, while still playing guitar and writing songs. So what a joy it was to discover you…. Thanks man, please keep doing what you do 👍🏻👍🏻

I picked up a keyboard for the time ever to learn during covid lockdown. I spent several hours repeating this tutorial and learned how to play this song which inspired me to go back and learn the fundamentals. Now I have something to play for. Steve is the man!

Steve, thank you for this fantastic tutorial of”Your Song”. I’ve listened to the recording, specifically the piano and you’ve nailed it! I am a beginner, but found that if practiced everyday, the confidence came. Every time I learned a new section, I’d start from the beginning and play the whole song to that point. Before I knew if, it was sounding REALLY GOOD! I am almost through the whole song now, and each added section gave me a feeling of triumph! Thank you for your patience and taking it slow. Most tutorials are way too fast for beginners. I am following this advice, don’t practice until you can play it right, practice until you can’t play it wrong! I look forward to more of your tutorials to add songs to my repertoire.

Excellent tutorial, I can almost play it now! the "almost" part is down to my lack of experience/skill on the instrument, but that is getting a lot better a lot faster than I was expecting thanks to videos such as this one :) It would take me 100x longer to try and work things out by ear and then try to figure out how to play them with my own current limitations that I'm working with. Been playing the guitar for over 20 years but I was forced to watch The Lion King last christmas, for the first time since 1995, and for some reason, it inspired me to learn to play the piano. Might seem like a silly reason, but does anyone ever really need a sensible, rational, justifiable reason for wanting to learn something new? :P

Then you'll simply have to maneuver your hand. Since the most this song uses is chords within an octave, you should not have much trouble
