Wow! I love the addition in your dining room of the curio cabinets. They mimic your arched windows nicely besides carry on the curves and ebony paint of the table you did previously. Well done!!! It shows off your pretty china too and I’m a sucker for the staging of dining finery. The sofa, cocktail table living space redo was wonderful too! I’ve been doing similar over the summer for my daughter who got her 1st real apartment after college. We mixed a few consignment pieces with wood furniture from Goodwill and thrift stores I refinished and reupholstered. It’s been fun and a *lot of work*. My late father would love I’m both using all that he taught me and that I’m passing it down to my girls too. He never made me believe there was anything I couldn’t do. Girls are absolutely as capable in the garage! And Kara, you’re also setting a great example for your daughter and also other women out there!!! Thank you 😊

Like it all and a heck of an improvement. I never would have thought that just changing the color stain of that coffee table would make such a big difference. And that table somebody gave you is great. Too many pillows on sofa, try to remove 2 completely, then put one on each leather chair? So only 2 on sofa, as is, looks like sofa is meant for only one person. A small ROUND table between the two chairs?. (too many cubes, throughout) Now this whole thing dwarfs your mantle piece and that picture, which should be the focal point. Beef both up? They are no competition for that huge palatial window, let alone this large scale furniture. Designers would say the pendant is farmhouse, but it is a little small imho. Great work, but biggest problems are the hobbit fireplace and all those pillows on one sofa. Easy fixes. 🥰LL. (be on the lookout)

Great job on the flower pot! I used that "spray stone", and it DOES look believable even on plastic as long as you mask the rim. Rocks are much better than that moss. So much light into those rooms, but I guess you are a plant killer. I know you are busy too. In Tampa here, so we just cannot have direct sunlight streaming in, no matter the technology. I have only 3 north facing windows and cannot put live plants in front of the sink or on the bed.

This was such an inspiring video! I had just tuned in last night to rewatch your video about the dining table you did after getting one (for free) from a leftovers from an estate sale yesterday.
