0:17 Unless this thing came out many years ago, it's not the first prosthetic with individual finger control.

These types of input readings will be consumer accessible when smart glasses take off. It's highly likely they can just build it into a smart watch. So you can get feedback when physically interfacing with Virtual displays.

Magnificent! The realm of Prosthetics Companies all competing and striving for innovation will surely bring about a more inclusive and integrated world for amputees

pretty amazing that no d2bw rnraw or any kind of direct interface to the nerve cells is needed to control the arms various motors

That's great tech, I just wonder what the go to market plan truly is. The reality is that there is NO way that there are over 10K people ready to buy this $20K arm. Zero chance. I think what they are doing is noble and will do a lot of good for the industry, but some of the details from the greater industry and how everything works together - insurance, the prosthetist, after sales support, etc - isn't really being addressed.

$25K for the average prosthetic arm is crazy, although I’d definitely go for one of these models if I ever needed an arm.

All my questions are smartphone questions. How well does it handle water and dust intrusion? Does it charge with usb type c? How long does a charge last and how long does it take to charge? Lastly, does it fast charge?

Now i see why elon is trying to develop neural link,it will literally just leap the whole prosthetic tech forward with instant feedback and also why doesn't it has a procedural animation AI control system

It makes sense that the nerves are still there, just disconnected, but it's still wild to think that the technology can read those signals and translate them to movement. So cool!
