Towers doesn’t need the height restriction changing and tbh it makes the park cool and unique. If Merlin had money they could make a coaster with a 200-250ft drop down the valley if those plans are to be believed. That would be so cool and such an amazing statement, imagine building a B&M hyper with the larger drop in the UK below the tree line lol.

Thank you so much for answering! Love the Q and As In regards to carers/disability stuff, the more I watch you the more I think I really would like to be a KZbinr who focuses on this in the future. I fully understand why you don’t delve into it as I’ve said to so many people, until you or someone you know is affected by a disability you don’t actually realize what those needs are and what to look for. As I was, before I was affected by it. And I don’t see many of those kind of tubers about so maybe it’d be a great thing in the future. Keep bringing out great vids, I always look forward to them. Hope your fundraising stuff is going well 😊!

I was a little worried when I said I don’t think I’m the man to do the job. But I’m glad you took it how it was intended. I'm imagining the relationship between the proposed Universal park and the existing UK parks to be a bit more like how Disney/Universal interact with the likes of SeaWorld or Fun Spot over in Orlando - Universal would be more of a multi-day resort trip than a simple day out. If there's any park that'll have to step up its game, it's Disneyland Paris. And I'm with you on the Grand National - if ever there was a ride where an RMC hybrid conversion would be welcome it's that one - easily my least favourite of the woodies up at Blackpool!

Went to Efteling recently and Danse Macabre is quite tame for a thrill seeking adult, some cool animatronics though but I wouldn't personally go back specifically for that. Luckily the park in general is magical anyway and always worth a revisit after some time has passed to allow the memories to fade

I think the problem with the uk theme park industry is the domination of Merlin. They have no need to theme or push themselves as they dominate. The same happened with Disney in Florida until Universal appeared waving at them saying "Hello disney" suddenly MICKEY signed a blank cheque and we got new disney theme parks.

Also should add I think what makes ghost train creepy is the silence in some bits and ambient audio that plays. And weird smell in lower level. I do feel unnerved. Also the new effects they added are creepy. Can you check out pasaje

And with the ghost train I get always creeped out at pleasure beach. As its especially Haunted apparently. Whether that's a marketing ploy idk. But have autism so maybe that contributes.

If I were Towers I’d get rid of the flat rides and just focus on large throughput rides. Get rid of the entire of David Williams Land or whatever it’s called and move that Gangsta Granny to CBBCs land where it would be a better fit. Turn that whole area into something new, they still have that water ride in the Dungeons I presume? Just do an Alton Manor on it and it go through more people than a Top Spin. If they still have that new indoor coaster coming that’ll be another big ride for the area…. Put your eggs into that big basket. Flat rides in parks went away for a reason, they’re so maintenance heavy and they do not soak up people vs their cost. Also Galactica would be another cheap fix, it only needs retheming, maybe finally get around to painting concrete tunnel?

Not sure I agree on the flats. They definitely don’t have the capacity of larger coasters but they do take some pressure off those rides with something that has a much smaller footprint ie they can put them in places a coaster wouldn’t fit. Either way the park needs a lot of work as it just feels a bit lost right now and with the state of Merlin it may not improve anytime soon 😔

Flats are nippy little crowd munchers. They are cheap and swallow up people so the queues for the big coasters go down.

So sad to see it has been scaled back, I just think do not bother then. I’d rather see something they can do that will be a good version of what they’re doing, rather than something that feels half arsed. I’m still shocked they haven’t done an Alton Manor job on Terror Tomb. That is something that they could do really well for a limited budget. In fact I bet the building is a large part of the cost, scale it back and do something with the Dungeons for now instead.

Yeah I also wonder if Universal is confirmed next month if that will change things. Although Towers may be the biggest it’s not going to be the nearest to Universal so money may go further south first

I’d much rather Universal build their park up north. Inbetween Manchester and Liverpool and Leeds and all that. Seems like it would be a huge area that is surely up and coming and has lots of tourism. There is good train access and an airport and it would be easy for people in Ireland and easier for people in Scotland to get to. So much better than Bedford which is not only a big crap hole, but it’s still 50 mins from London and will get no tourism. I dread to think of the poor suckers that fly into Luton….
