Had our Enyaq for 3 months. Apart from local driving my longest regular trips are under 100 miles, all with home charging at 7p. Result is reduced journey times - no longer trying to get over 40mpg. So it's faster, quieter, cheaper and just as spacious and comfortable as our previous diesel SUV.

21:53 unfortunatley currently i am planning my longer trips with PUMP or ABRB but also i plan it via the Skoda Navi to check what charging stations will be planned. Then in start my route via ABRP or PUMP and after this my route at the Skoda Navi (if you start first the Skoda Navi and after PUMP/ABRP the Skoda Navigation will be aborted). Thats my way, so let me navigate via Skoda and on my phone the PUMP/ABRP is active too and i can switch between Skoda Navi and Carplay. If there was a filter soon in the Skoda Navi it would be great. ABRP now is reliable also for navigation (better voice commands (new voices) and the navigation is integrated in the drivers front display (like the Skoda Navigation) I navigated from home to Berlin only with ABRP and it was ok. Then from Dresden to home with PUMP, ABRP and Skoda Navi :-) It's crazy using a lot of apps (also for battery temperature (Car Scanner). 32:36 i would use the Powerpass again because its more comfortable (plan your route, drive, charge at the suggested charging stations....) but the pricing isnt' attractive anymore (14,99 EUR monthly fee for 49 ct at Ionity and Aral Pulse, all other 73 ct thats too expensive) currently i have Shell Beta tariff (4,99 EUR m.fee and 44 ct at Shell only (only Germany) and for longer trips Aral Puls via Chargenow (4,99 EUR monthly fee and 49ct or 9,99 EUR + 39ct, or IOnity via Renault Mobilize (4,99 EUR + 39 ct / kWh). as we can see it could be much more easier (either with good prices for Adhoc and credit card or the old one Powerpass tarrifs)

I agree, powerpass is no longer any use. It's a shame. I use my octopus card now unless I know I will do lots of ionity stops and then I subscribe to ionity.

Thanks for the great comments - All great information for the person that is new to battery electric vehicles - I find my experience is much the same - When I first bought an electric vehicle I used B mode as it was more like a petrol vehicle but have change to D mode and find I get better range - With Climate control I don't change this much leaving the climate control set to 20C - Mostly leave the car on Normal performance - Long trip planning I tend to use ABRP for the planning but then use the inbuilt satnav for the trip - For charging I prefer to use Tesla as you do but other than that use reliable networks as needed Instavolt, Ionity, MFG - Rarely charge to 100 % now days mostly just to 80 % or I end up with too much charge for rapid charging when I next stop - Typically max of 2 hours driving with the drive time dictated by my comfort breaks so normally plan to charge when I take the break and tend to find the car charges quicker than my typical break - All great information

Thanks for another helpful video. You mentioned stopping at Tebay for food but only a quick top up charge. Does that mean your stop was longer than the charging time, so you remotely ended your charging session? Last time I was at Tebay all the chargers were full so there was a polite queuing system with other drivers! I didn't need a long charge but felt uneasy about ending my charge session when I was still using the service station. Would you comment on what you've observed others do, or you would do? Good question on the charging, I suppose it all comes down to how YOU feel. Without checking the charger, how do we know if the charge has finished ? Great video. Got another question for you. I recently stopped to charge my Enyaq at Abington services. I plugged in and the charger refused to charge, but the charging cable wouldn't release. I called the charging company and they reset to bank of chargers, but the car wouldn't release the cable. Eventually after about two hours the car released the cable, about 30 seconds before the breakdown vehicle arrived. Have you ever experienced the car not releasing the charger? Skoda we're going to send someone out if I renewed my Skoda cover for £120 plus another £89 for immediate call out. Obviously when you can get breakdown cover with your insurance for ~ £30-40 Skoda prices are not going to win many drivers over to them.

Great video. Question given I also have an Enyaq 85x coupe which is only 4 months old.... Do you ever get warmings in the app about 12v battery being low and remote control is limited. I've seen this many times with my car and it defeats the object of having an app to pre warm the car because it can't control the car. If you read Skoda Enyaq forums I'm not alone with this issue and just wondered if you ever experienced it. Seems to me it's a problem Skoda need to look at seriously so with your links maybe you could ask them about it?
@enyaq_gorm6 күн бұрын
@@rodamauk yeah that's something they're aware of and if you send them your VIN on the Škoda EV Lounge group then they can look into it. Pop it on a battery charger and the issue goes away
@mr.wizeguy89956 күн бұрын
There might be few reason that cause it. Does your keys are close to car when you are inside house, those key might be discuss with car and it will drain 12v and also key battery. 2nd issue if you open your phone app often it also drains 12v battery or you have charger that has some schedule with cheaper electric tariff it might also discuss with car and drain battery. Another great video. I try to watch "other" videos but usually after about 5 seconds they are crying about the EVs, during the videos the driver is foaming at the mouth etc etc . I am only about 15 -20 miles from Livingston, on my drives down south I often use the OLD A74, a7076/78 etc. I can often drive for 30 minutes before seeing another car. When we first got the Enyaq we did try to get the cheapest charge, at that time a lot of chargers in Scotland were FREE, but now we do not bother "searching" for a cheaper charger. We do stop fairly often due to toilet breaks for us and the dog, the other day we stopped and the cost of the charge was £7, remember the ICE drivers who would TOP UP with £10 or £20 .......... How many ICE drivers on a limited budget put £100 of fuel in their car ? A few years ago the ICE drivers would be complaining that the manufacturer says 55 mpg but " i never get more than 40 mpg" NOW the all the ICE drivers seem to be getting 75mpg, or so they claim. My diesel van would give me 55mpg on my steady run up from Yorkshire, but push it near to 70 mph and it came back as 40 mpg. Now I can drive locally ( up to 100 miles ) at about 1.6p per mile in the Enyaq, if I take the Merc it works out at around 20p per mile , just for petrol. Of course in the Enyaq I miss the growl of the super charger, but is that worth paying an extra 18p per mile.
