I was born with a very aggressive auto immune disease. God has never healed me, but has sustained me. But yes, I get berated frequently by prosperity Christians (for lack of a better term) that insist somehow I’m lacking in faith or steeped in sin or something because I still suffer from this debilitating disease 44 years later. I never really swallowed the prosperity gospel for that reason. I suppose if I did how that could have easily pushed me away from God. Instead, I’ve learned so much about His grace, which brings supernatural joy through suffering.

@@darinb.3273 Amen he has so much to look forward to. (As do we all). I don’t believe the prosperity gospel, but sometimes I wonder if we maximize (even in our fallen state) our full potential as created in the image of God. Our imaginations, self discipline and our limitations should be liberated by our full potential. Not that that is a guarantee and practically the potential of poorer countries is limited by corruption. Just thinking out loud here. And how much of that fully realized potential would be used for God’s glory and God’s plan?

Praying for someone’s Healing is not the same as preaching the prosperity gospel. I do not support the prosperity gospel but I do believe God heals today. I have been physically healed in my life. I realize I’m not healed every time. And that’s fine. I trust Gods wisdom. I don’t believe it’s my right. But I sure will pray for healing.

Very very few believers understand the Good News of the gospel since most fail to understand that scripture relates that sin allowed the devil to bring sickness into our lives and that Jesus came to free us from our sins and to teach us how to overcome them. Now on the other hand you have thousands of believers condemning their souls daily by blaspheming the Spirit of truth since they eagerly relate their misguided beliefs about sin, sickness and scripture wherever they please. So here is what the majority of believers clearly are not comprehending. First, can a believer possess a sickness or a disability? Yes it is definitely possibly for a believer to have a sickness or a disability in their life? But if a believer can get sick or they have a sickness or a disability then it certainly proves that they do not know God and it confirms that they have no idea what scripture is relating to them. They are simply a misguided believer who has been deceived by the devil’s many lies. Second, so is this deceived believer then a Christian? No they definitely are not since they are nothing more then a unclean believer who has fallen for the devil’s lies and deceptions and so they possess sin and ignorance in their life. They are considered ignorant by God since they clearly lack knowledge of God’s word and commands. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6 NKJV Third, what exactly is a Christian then! Well the world’s definition of a Christian is someone who believes in Christianity and that is totally incorrect. God’s definition of a Christian is someone who is a sanctified disciple and who lives exactly as Jesus did. A Christian is someone who has overcome sin and sickness in this earthly life since they allowed the Holy Spirit to sanctified their heart in God’s word and truth. They went through God’s purification process that took many years, endless hours of reading scripture and praying and they endured many trials that required quite a bit of faith, patience and suffering. A Christian who is sanctified in truth can easily discern a sanctified Christian from an unclean believer in seconds since they possess the mind of Christ and they are able to judge everyone and everything. They can no longer sin nor can they ever get sick since they are now born of God and so the devil can no longer touch them with sickness or disabilities. “Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭11:25-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:13-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ So of course you will find that the many lost and deceived believers of this world will try to justify their sin and sickness by twisting the scriptures to coincide with their misguided beliefs. They will claim that God allows sickness and disabilities in order to display His glory since they do not understand the John 9 scripture or they may say that their affliction is simply a blessing from God. These deceived believers just will not accept that their sickness or disability is from sin and that it is a curse from God. They clearly overlook what God related to us in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 and they are blinded to the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind. “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Because they lack knowledge of scripture they willingly continue to live in sin and their ignorance of truth. So they will claim that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness or they will try to manipulate what 1 Timothy 5:23, Galatians 4:13 and Philippians 2:26 are relating to us in order to justify the sin and sickness in their lives. They will try to use Job and others from the Old Covenant without even realizing that we are all born in sin and there was no forgiveness of sins in the Old Covenant since Jesus had not arrived yet. Now once these misguided believers start trying to justify their twisted beliefs by misrepresenting the word of God they have now condemned their ignorant souls since they are blaspheming the Spirit of truth with their lies. God is Spirit and His words are His truth so blaspheming the Spirit means that you are speaking against God’s word and truth. So once they do these foolish things they are then denying the power and the goodness of God and they have blasphemed the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind through His sacrifice. Psalm 107:17. “Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.” Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness. God commanded us live a holy and righteous life and He expected us to overcome both sin and sickness in this wicked world. I can definitely testify that this blessing is possible since I am someone who has been sanctified in truth and I can no longer sin nor do I ever get sick. So for anyone to say that we all sin or that we all get sick is simply a lie and that certainly makes them a fool in the eyes of God. “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1:13-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭NKJV‬ Finally, most ignorantly believe that Jesus came to forgive our past, present and future sins. This spoken untruth is having people believe that they can continue in a life of sin and then simply repent and God will forgive them over and over. This is why many believe that if they repent just before they die then Jesus will save their sinful soul. This twisted reasoning would mean that you can continue to steal and then simply repent. You can then lie and then repent. You can then murder and simply repent. You can keep committing whatever sin you desire and simply repent afterwards and you will always be forgiven. Hopefully you are now comprehending how this is simply a lie and it is just utter nonsense that was fabricated by the devil? Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. This meant for us to stop sinning entirely and to start living holy and righteously just as God commanded. This is why very very few of us will be saved and the majority of believers will simply perish in their sin and their complete ignorance of truth. “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:32‬ ‭ “And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved, for the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:27-28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

You people are all simply fools. Here is why both of these people in this video are simply delusional false prophets and they will lead only you straight to hell. First understand that I am a sanctified disciple of Jesus Christ and Jesus has shown me how I will have to deal with the same resistance that He most certainly did since the majority of believers are actually wicked souls and they are not willing to hear or accept God’s word and truth. They would rather foolishly believe their twisted and sinful interpretations of scripture instead. To prove my point there is not one verse in scripture where God has ever used a woman to preach or to work miracles on His behalf but yet look at how many are believing this nonsense today. Over and over I see women trying to relate scripture here on the Internet and they have no idea that they are condemning their souls in the process. So why does God not allow women to preach? Well it is because of the curse that God commanded on the woman at the very beginning in the Garden of Eden. “To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”” Genesis 3:16 NKJV Are women still experiencing pain in childbirth? Definitely yes! Why? Because God commanded it to be so and this then proves why the same command still applies for the man to rule over the woman. Realize that this does not mean that a woman is inferior to a man or that a man should treat a woman badly. It simply means that a woman was never meant to have any authority over any man. This is why scripture commands a woman to submit to her husband and this is why all of the apostles were men. Now if a woman has been sanctified in truth then it is possible that God may prophecy through her, and I will use Deborah in Judges as an example. Deborah could prophesy but she was never commanded to preach nor could she perform miracles on God’s behalf. And if you do not understand the difference then you had better look up their meanings in a dictionary. Most believers are simply falling for the nonsense that you are seeing in today’s wicked world since the devil is desiring for women to believe that they are basically men. I suggest you do a little research into the feminist and the women’s right movement from just these past 50 years since that will expose how this wicked generations beliefs really started to change. You now have complete strangers raising children since you now have women in the workforce and they are now acting as men. Some women are even ruling over men at their home, in their jobs, in politics and even in the armed forces these days. Plus women are now believing that they were meant to be a spokesperson for God and that is definitely scripturally false! So what has changed over these past 100 years? Is it God’s word or is it maybe your own misguided beliefs about women? I do believe that you know the answer to that question! ‬ “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:13-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6:2-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ It is the duty of every true Christian who possesses the Holy Spirit to judge anyone who claims to be a believer by the righteousness and the Word of our Savior Jesus Christ. A sanctified disciple is able to judge everyone and everything since they now possess the mind of Christ. So I am speaking no differently then Jesus did when He confronted the ignorant believers of His time. Most clearly overlook how Jesus got angry and how He openly rebuked and criticized those who claimed to know God and scripture. When Jesus exposed their sin and their unbelief Jesus used words such as fools, foolish ones, evil, wicked, heathens, hypocrites, brood of vipers, son of hell and your father is the devil. The people back then did not like to hear how sinful they were and this why they hated Jesus so much and this is why they had Jesus crucified. So it is quite obvious that the lost and evil believers of today are no different then the misguided believers back then since they clearly do not like to have their sin and their unbelief exposed. Now just because someone claims to believe in Jesus does not mean that they are a child of God either since even the demons believe in God. Anyone who lives in sin is definitely not a child of God since scripture clearly states that they are of the devil. “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ So scripture clearly states that whoever sins does not know God, so that applies to the majority of believers. Whoever sins is of the devil, that also applies then yo the majority of believers. Whoever abides in God and is born of God cannot sin and does not sin, this would explain the few who are like myself. Anyone who lives in sin is simply a misguided soul who does not understand what scripture is relating to them and they are ignoring the blessing that Jesus provided for all of mankind. I simply speak God’s truth and I expose people for who they truly are. So understand that anyone who lives in sin is not my brother or my sister in Christ. In their twisted mind they may believe that they are but the truth of the matter is that they are simply fools who are believing the devil’s lies and nonsense and their eyes are blinded to God’s word and truth. Some in their ignorance will even try to throw this scripture at me to try and prove me wrong for calling them a fool. “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ They clearly overlook two important things in this scripture. First it states “angry with his brother without a cause.” Well I certainly have a cause since you are sinning with your ignorance of truth. Second that then proves that you are not my brother either. So if you do not understand or believe these truths related to us in scripture and you do not repent of your ignorance then you certainly are not my brother or my sister in Christ and you most definitely are a fool who follows the lies of the devil. I am a servant of the Lord and I will expose and condemn anyone’s words that are refuting God’s truth since they are simply a blasphemer who has condemned their foolish soul. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭NKJV “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:35-37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Even without the Isaiah healing scripture, there are text that are talking about a physical healing such as: “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” - James 5:14-15 Sometimes it is more complicated with healing. Some people misuse healing, but that doesn't mean praying for healing is prosperity gospel.

@DiscipleDave DotCom Peter did, and the early church did also. 2 Timothy 2:13 even says "If we are faithless, he is still faithful - for he cannot deny himself", and contrasts being faithless with denying him, which *does* cause him to deny us. True believers don't deny Christ, but they can be faithless at times - though may God make us more faithful over time as we walk with him and resemble Jesus more.
@bewareofsnow

@DiscipleDave DotCom And yet even after the crucifixion Peter sins and Paul calls him out on it. But we are given many indications that some or all of the disciples were saved prior to the crucifixion. Some examples: Peter confesses that Jesus is the Christ and Jesus even confirms that this has been revealed to Peter by God directly; the disciples exhibit faith in Jesus many times, even to the point of leaving everything to follow him; Jesus spoke plainly to them while speaking in parables to everyone else; Jesus calls them "friends" at the Last Supper.

@DiscipleDave DotCom I'm confused by your position on sin. You said in your comment above that "true believers do not... commit sin", but on your website you say "you do not have to become perfect overnight". Which is it? It can't be both, unless a person can only become a true believer *after* they've fully dealt with their sin, which the Bible shows us is impossible. If I need to deal with my sin fully before I can be saved, then I'm no better off than I would be if Christ hadn't been crucified. The gospel becomes great news to people who can become perfect without it, but condemnation for everyone who is dead in their sins and needs a Saviour.

I believe we as Christians cannot “lose” our salvation, but if we maintain a sinful lifestyle, or in other words we keep committing sins without repentance, then during that time we will naturally be more spiritually distant from God. I like to use the example of a teenage child who runs away from home (the kind of running away that’s out of rebellion, not because s/he’s being abused or neglected). The child leaves the safety of his parent’s house and begins making decisions that were not allowed back home (against the rules I mean). Until the child goes back home there will be distance between (for instance) the son and the father. While the child is away from home, he is distant from his father...but is he still his father’s child? Absolutely. [As a footnote I noticed a couple people in the comment section saying that women who even so much as discuss scripture are breaking God’s law and are going to Hell. I hope I’m not targeted by them for posting this. 😬]

But if he is not home when the groom comes for him with the oil of repentance in his lamp, the groom will say to him “away from me! I never knew you.” Yes women can discuss scriptures. Where in the bible does it say otherwise? You are a daughter of God.

They serve the devil and they are both simply delusional false prophets and they will lead only you straight to hell.

Like the prayer question. My worship professor would let us know when in in comes to prayer with the points brother Allen said & how & to keep in mind if it’s what God has for us. Especially to be careful if we’re praying for something that goes against God and what He has for us. I know that is a reminder for me to keep in mind. I remember praying for my Uncle who was in bad health for many nights years ago but although he wasn’t physically healed and went with the Lord it was definitely a struggle in my faith. We don’t know why many things happen only God does but I’m glad God really brought me peace a week after his passing that I shouldn’t worry & my uncle is in His hands. God way of doing things is not how we humans see it or can fully understand because He is God and we are not. Really like the questions we have here. I was definitely curious about a good amount of these.

For the first question, I always think of Deuteronomy 1:39 "And the little ones that you said would be taken captive, your children who do not yet know good from bad-they will enter the land. I will give it to them and they will take possession of it." This, for me, has always is an indication that children don't yet know right from wrong, good from bad and cannot give an account for their actions... At what age this would end, we obviously cannot say.

Then at the end he said he was influenced by John MacArthur, and then I released, it was the same spirit I sense with MacArthur, a haughty arrogant spirit. Salvation is not of man nor of works lest any man shall boast. Why would God take a perfect sacrifice to make a perfect salvation and yet leave it up to an imperfect sinful in flesh man? “I managed to stay saved because I kept on top of it, every day all day ask for forgiveness.” Then at the end of whew! The eternal life referred to in John 10:27-29 is given only to those who continue to follow and as long as they follow Jesus: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, AND THEY FOLLOW ME: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." Nothing is here promised to those who do not follow, and if one follows he naturally will meet the above conditions. If one hears Jesus he will obey and meet the conditions of eternal life laid down by Him, and this IS eternal security and all the security one needs. All these things certainly imply continued faith, obedience, and faithful living if they mean anything.

@@TheBlakins1 John 10 was not written doctrinally to you. Paul said we are sealed unto the day of redemption. Getting saved is a new birth. A spiritual birth into God's family. You can't be unborn. We will be judged for how we lived after accepting Jesus however. But we cannot lose our new birth.
@TheBlakins1

@@jerrylisby5376 Jesus is eternal life and He is not temporary. Eternal life comes by being in union with Him, His ways, His teachings, and His example of living righteously. Those who do not possess eternal life are simply not in union with Him (in Christ); they are in union with sin by being guilty of sin (in sin). Once Jesus alone has made you righteous, you must remain, abide, continue, and endure “in Christ,” not “in sin.” (Rom. 6:1-23; 8:1-13; 12:1-2; Gal. 5:16-26). Jesus is eternal life and eternal life is forever whether you possess it or not. The “secret” that’s been blind from you but clearly revealed in Scripture is that you must continue to be in unionist with Jesus to have this eternal life. DEAD in trespasses and sin is called this due to being separated from the life source (God - Isa. 59:1-2). The spirit/soul was in you before being born again. The rebirth is not a coming into existence, but rather a removal of all past sin, thus United with the life source (God). “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

They are both simply delusional false prophets and they will lead only you straight to hell.

@@mikerutkowski7265 Jesus warned us not to lovelessly judge. Matthew 7:1-6 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. James 4:11 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge Romans 2:1-3 Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man-you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself-that you will escape the judgment of God? I'm not saying youre completely wrong but the way you handle this is completely unbiblical and lovelessly and I just want to convict you of that and make you aware of that. Also, it seems to me that you are being VERY self-righteous. That is not good man.

In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭19:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ And with your own words you have proven that you do not possess the Holy Spirit and of Jesus Christ nor do you understand what scripture is even relating since it is the duty of a Christian to judge everyone that they may encounter. Anyone who is living by the Spirit and who understands how to test the Spirits is now someone who is able to communicate directly with Jesus Himself. Jesus of course knows what dwells inside everyone’s heart and He will gladly pass this information onto His true followers. For example, Jesus will relate whether someone truly believes or not or if someone is saved or not. Jesus will tell you if someone has blasphemed the Spirit or if someone is completely misguided in their beliefs. Jesus will even tell you if He appointed a particular person to spread His word or if they are simply a delusional false prophet. All you need to do is to ask Him and He will gladly relate these things to you. This is what it means to possess the mind of Christ and to have the ability to judge everyone and everything. “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Scripture relates how Jesus openly rebuked and criticized the Pharisees and the Sadducees and yet most fail to realize that these were supposedly faithful believers. So I speak no differently then Jesus did when He confronted the ignorant believers of His time. You and many like yourself clearly overlook how Jesus got angry and how He openly rebuked and criticized those who claimed to know God and scripture. When Jesus exposed their sin and their unbelief Jesus used words such as fools, foolish ones, evil, wicked, heathens, hypocrites, brood of vipers, son of hell and your father is the devil. So it is quite obvious that the lost and evil believers of today are no different then the misguided believers back since both clearly do not like to have their sin and their unbelief exposed. This is the blessing that every true Christian possesses and there are very very few of us who are a true Christian. You certainly are not a Christian and you are nothing more then an ignorant believer who has been deceived by the devil and his lies.

@Robyn Patton, Glad to see this comment. So many have been deceived by the name and claim it movement. This is why it is of the utmost importance to allow Scripture to interpret Scripture. Case in point, the apostle Peter tells us how “by his stripes/wounds we have been healed” is to be understood. 1 Peter 2:24 NASB [24] and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. Some try to point to Matthew 8:15-17 and apply Isaiah 53:5 to it for physical healing but if we look closely, Matthew is not quoting Isaiah 53:5, he is quoting Isaiah 53:4. This too is not referring to sickness and disease but sin. How do I know this? First we have to understand what “Bible” did Jesus and apostles quote from? Answer, the Greek Septuagint (LXX). The LXX translates the Hebrew into the Greek word ἁμαρτία (hamartia) which the the word used through out the New Testament for sin. The translators of the Septuagint (Ancient Hebrew Scholars/Scribes) knew this and translated the Hebrew accurately. Isaiah 53:4 LXX He bears our sins, and is pained for us: yet we accounted him to be in trouble, and in suffering, and in affliction. If you don’t know what the Greek Septuagint is, it’s very important to know it’s history. Whenever you see the Old Testament quoted by the New Testament writers, 90% of the time they are quoting from the Greek Septuagint (LXX). They considered it to be the written word of God, not the Hebrew. If you want to look in church history there was a lot of debate considering the Greek Translation and what many called the corrupted Hebrew Text.

As a definition, that is very poor. And cheap. Communism fits that definition. The term 'prosperity gospel' is your term, not that of those who teach prosperity. So you need to definite it. I'm not aware of any prosperity teacher who would claim the gospel is about finance, so I think your term is a misleading straw man. You could point out that few prosperity preachers encourage giving to things unconnected to them. Yes, there are prosperity teachers whose focus is mammon rather than God. They have left their first love, and are leading others into the same grevious sin. But wealth is not ungodly or God wouldn't have used it to bless Abraham, Solomon or Job. But the true riches are far more valuable than the earthly. If the anti prosperity camp could manifest corresponding zeal for the true riches, the prosperity camp might realise they're majoring on minors. Let's live in hope.

Good to hear clear exposition of the bible on youtube. I would just add about the question on asking according to God's will the application of it our day and time is clearly articulated in 1 John 5 : 14,15 - "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him." This is not some whimsical idea of a genie in a bottle but asking from the position of being God's stewards in this world. God bless brother Parr, sis Childers.

I agree that the “whatever you ask me” verse is directly to the apostles in that context in John 14, however the same author John echoes this idea in 1John 5 to all believers (1John 5:13-15) that if we ask Him anything we know he hears us and that we have those requests that we’ve made to God. However Alisa and Allen both touched on the importance of asking things according to His will and not our own, no not every thing we ask for will be granted :)

To answer the question at 0:01 : People don't know the God whom they're asking. If their heart were aligned with His, they would know *what* to ask and be given an answer on *how* to seek it. The LORD hasn't stopped talking with His children! However, people have stopped listening and/or have stopped acting on His promise. People also need to be careful what they're asking for. Israel relentlessly asked for a king and came to regret it after the LORD gave them their heart's desire (which wasn't aligned with God's).

@jonney tango What does John mean when he says that those who say they have no sin deceive themselves and the truth is not in them? Just wondering from your post. Sincerely curious on this subject. I agree that women are not to have authority over men but you don't sin? Interesting if you can explain away John the beloved of Jesus' words in 1John Chapter 1 verse 8.

Not questions that make us have to do apologetic gymnastics to prove what we should, in fact, assume. I do mean things that are plain in Scripture, like the character of God, the inspiration and sufficiency of the Text, etc... Thank y'all!

I think alot of people are misunderstanding Allen here if you watch his videos you would know that he does believe in physical healing. What he talking about in this video is people expecting a guarantee of not getting sick, being rich etc just because they are Christian. The reason people believe these things is because they take it out of context in the bible. He is also talking about speaking things into existence (it's a new age practice). Its not that we cant ask for things like healing in Jesus name, because if it's his will for them to get better at that time he will heal them. But people try to posses the power of God in the sense that they think God goes by their agenda and they can speak things and it will happen, which is a divine characteristic.

Christians today take the scriptures out of its original context and put themselves in the passages.. This passage is one of them.. Jesus is talking the the disciples.. NOT US… He was preparing them for their mission.. they had 40 years to preach the GOSPLE till the end (end of the old covenant) Judah (southern kingdom ) was to be judged.. all of Israel both tribes to be judged. And New covenant LIFE begins. I am no a fan of today’s Christian doctrine. It’s false.. and very harmful..

If you want to know the truth to the first question? Do babes that die go to be with God? Answer - reflect on how Christ interacted with the little children and you have your answer. So YES, of course they all do. All babes are a gift from God, they all come from him. So if that little babe from conception has its life cut short? Then God does take his child home.

I love that Alan Parr studies in context and within the time frame rightly dividing the full Council of God's word to appropriate the proper meaning of how the scripture May apply to us on a personal level today. So many Christians today take the Bible literally, thinking its speaking to them personally, which isn't the case. I believe that can lead to gnosticism and superstition. We have to be very careful as to how we approach studying the word of God. Yes all scripture is god-breathed and useful for admonishing rebuking correcting and building up the believer, the member of the body of Christ for the edifying of All Saints, within context. So thank you Allen Parr and Alisa Childers for this conversation and your service to our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ to whom all power glory honor and Majesty be unto His holy name forever and ever without end amen hallelujah amen!

WRONG ANSWER FOR SALVATION: because i went to church, got baptized, tried really hard to stop sinning, prayed, read my bible, gave to the poor, looked and acted like a Christian, performed spiritual things in jesus name, preached, casted out demons, did many wonderful works etc. etc. etc.... BIBLICAL ANSWER FOR SALVATION: Because I realized that I was a sinner before God and that i need a savior! I am imperfect and there is nothing I can do to earn my way to heaven and so my only hope to be saved is to put all of my faith and trust in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ on my behalf. BIBLICAL ANSWER FOR SERVICE: Whatever works I may do, whatever spiritual maturity I may reach, whatever sins I may get victory over, whatever fruit i may bear, whatever service i may serve unto the Lord, and how much i may love others cannot save my soul!! These things should come from the desire of the Holy Spirit and God's grace working in you, on you, and through you, as you yield to Him in faith. No matter how little or how much one produces in these areas it cannot save them!! These things should be cultivated in the life of a born again believer because they are desired by God, profitable eternally for the believer, and profitable physically for others here and now.
@IAmisMaster

I might agree with the thrust. One is saved apart from any good works. But a lack of good works, and more importantly, a lack of repentance and continuance of sin, shows that person has not had saving faith. James, Hebrews, 1 Corinthians all clearly teach those who continue sinning without repentance will not inherit the Kingdom of God. We can rightly question the salvation of someone like Ravi Zacharias based on external and defiant sins for which we have no evidence of repentance.
@BrotherDave80
@BrotherDave80 3 жыл бұрын
@@IAmisMaster disagree totally and you may wanna keep seeking the word rightly divided. Christ set the bar for holiness at a level all Christians are called to aspire to grow towards, but none can ever fully live up to, because of our sin nature we will forever wrestle agaisnt our flesh until our time here has expired. Just as the law of Moses was meant, in part to demonstrate to Israel how impossible it was for mortal man to obtain the moral perfection of God, the standards of Christ also remind us of how shallow our best efforts at goodness really are.Thankfully, God has always provided a way for us to be forgiven for our shortcomings. Christ was a sinless, blameless substitute for our sins. The Bible clearly tells us what Christ’s moral expectations are for us. If we lost our salvation every time we fell short of those ideals, then none of us would be saved for more than a few days at a time. If that were true, what purpose was there in His death? The Apostle John tells us “Beloved, now we are children of God and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2). That is speaking of final perfection that is not “now" but is future. This passage in James is written to Christians to encourage them to do good works which will make their faith mature and profitable to them and to others. There is no contradiction between James and Paul. When Paul speaks of justification through faith alone, he is speaking of judicial righteousness before God. When James speaks of justification by a faith that works, he is speaking of a practical righteousness displayed before other people. In Romans 3-5, Paul is discussing how to obtain a new life in Christ. In James, James is discussing how to make that new life profitable. The burden of sin was bore upon the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who places the burden of sin upon a sinner to be saved is propagating a false gospel of self-righteousness. Jesus paid it all... and He died in our place taking the punishment we all deserve... Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through repentance and faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved of themselves, He will only save those who know they need a savior and are trusting Him to be saved. The only requirement to be saved is to admit that you are a guilty sinner in God's sight (Romans 3:19-26) and to turn to Jesus Christ in faith trusting in His death burrial and Ressurection (Romans 10:9-13). You must come as an ungodly sinner to be saved. No one has ever been saved except the UNGODLY (Romans 4:5-8). God doesn't save the self-righteous, who are going about to establish their own righteousness (Matthew 7:21-23). We can only be saved by God's righteousness, which is through faith in Christ. Philippians 3:9 says, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” Repentance is turning to the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved from one's sins (Acts 3:19). Salvation is receiving NOT giving (Romans 4:5). Eternal life is the free gift of God (Romans 5:15;6:23), paid for by Jesus' precious literal blood (1st Peter 1:18,19). To be saved we simply need to come as a guilty sinner to Jesus Christ to have our sins washed away by His redeeming blood (1st John 1:7). Salvation is turning to Jesus to be forgiven of one's sins NOT turning from one's sins in order to be forgiven by Jesus. The Holy Spirit and the grace of God will begin to work on the born-again believer to guide them and grow them and each one of us as individuals will all reach different places of spiritual maturity before we die. There is a judgement seat of Christ for our life and service unto God but this is not a judgment for heaven or hell as even the most spiritually immature believers will still be saved as by fire according to the word of God

@@BrotherDave80 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. - Hebrews 10:26-31 (NIV)
