My wife and I visited Italy in November of 2024. We stayed in Trastevere for 4 days before heading to other locations in the south. It was a great location for travelling out to other parts of the city. We LOVED the vibe of the place and the food. (I'm a sucker for a good cacio e pepe.) We used taxis and Uber mostly, but buses are easily reached, with quite a few bus stops. There is no metro station in Trastevere, but Bus 3 and 75 can take you to Via Girolamo Induno, which is close to the Metro B Piramide station.

Love the video, plenty of information. I'm travelling to Trastevere in October for my first ever Italian vacation (bucket list 🙂) Is Trastevere heavily Italian speaking or mix of English language also? Grazie

There’s nothing “ real “ left in that dump that Trastevere has become. We Romans runned away long ago from It.

When do you go? It’s usually busy with Romans when I go. Trapizzino is packed always, as is Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà.. Poppi Poppi also .. just to name a few

@@TheRomanFoodTour ??? It is obvious that there isn’t anything different you could possibly say but……… When??? My mother’s family is from there. And you? When do you go there and when you realized it exists?

I don’t understand. I just mentioned it’s usually busy and pointed out a few places that are full of Romans

On my last visit, it was full of Romans, living their lives... avoiding the onslaught of tourists such as myself. ;)
