i think, this is the same reason, some people are not showing full portfolio to wife or extended family members like in laws. wife might tell to this all their relatives :P

Excellent advice about keeping your financial situation discreet. Most people I know either will be jealous and stop talking or try to show they're better than me. People have so many complexes that it is better to live peacefully by keeping your mouth shut about somethings.

Very true. My parents spent everything they earned on my brother's disease for 16 years and people judge us because we don't have a home in the city where we grew up in even though they were both earning relatively well.

sir, how much should one plan to withdraw from retirement corpus by not touching the principal amount plus the inflation rate, so that the growing corpus can be passed on to the next generation? is 2% or less reasonable for the withdrawal rate in which the corpus can last forever? thank you for the video.

Sir, on the topic of wealth revealing, please convey your same thoughts to SEBI, they will listen to you considering your influence. They are asking to reveal your networth to brokers who are basically commission agents in the market. SEBI already has access to CAS via the exchange maintenance. This exercise is entirely unnecessary.. thanks in advance

- tell them you didn't get much hike. You changed the job for other reasons eg. Better work life balance, better culture,office near to your house etc etc etc.

they are dumb..they may not use it. If Amazon portfolio is announced, Amazon will know your wealth, your medicine purchases, your travel, the books you read, the movies you watch and the color of your underwear - and worse, they can use it AGAINST us or to SELL to us. Think of that.

But if you don't reveal your assets and how fast those are grown how can we know about your skill and knowledge? We are listening you because we believe you know a lot more than us. So if you reveal your assets then our belief will get confirmed. Otherwise no point listening to someone who hardly has amassed something in life. Put it in other words if you hesitate to reveal then you will find very few viewers. That is the reason I feel your channel has so little viewers though the content is of quite high quality.

Its not the question of just revealing, people will listen only to successful people. Even mr subra quotes warren Buffett often, why?? Because he proved himself a very successful investor.
