@Miles Doyle my friend go and read the Bible again from the beginning before giving out bumper sticker advice to others... What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him? And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled”; and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder. But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead? Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness”; and he was called the friend of God. You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith. In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead. James 2:14-26

I discovered him some time before Gamergate when people were still talking about Sarkisian, discussion of which was going on as much as two years before GG. I don't know for certain how long I have actually been subscribed to him for sure since there were tons of people back then in almost more of an ongoing YT video based discussion forum on the related subjects (most of whom disappeared or faded into obscurity), but I know I was at least subbed by February of 2014, about 6 months prior to GG, because I distinctly remember listening to him right after a break up I had at that time. By the time early GG hit he had become a channel I watched regularly/closely, I even checked in to listen from my hotel while on holiday in Tunisia. Eventually over the next couple years became my favorite, especially with TWIS. I also remember saying in the comments of some of his really early early videos that the games journalists were just the tip of the iceberg, and folks should realize that this kind of corruption went all the way up, and the ones at the top of politics were just as bad if not much worse, the Manufacturing Consent and all that. I have no idea if he actually saw those comment/replies, or if they affected him, and in any case I have absolutely NO claim on the phenomenal amount of work and achievements he has done and made over the last 3/4 of a decade with his own dedication and effort, but I like to think in some small way those comments pebbles I threw into videos focused entirely on games and games journos, turned into or at least contributed to this avalanche that has affected even global political outcomes. You know, a butterfly flapping it's wings and all that. Because we aren't individuals, we are the center of a network. What we do in life echoes in eternity, for good and for evil. Ultimately I will never know for certain if those remarks had any impact, but I will say that following him has been an unbelievable ride, and despite being an agnostic atheist, I couldn't help but think while watching his campaigning videos for the EU that he was doing "the lords work." I hope future grassroots movements doing legitimate good work follow the example he set on the ground in that regard for centuries to come.

3 parties isn’t the solution. Here in Canada, we have the Conservatives, Liberals, and NDP. First two are self explanatory, the NDP will talk a big game, but are really Liberal Lite, and will form a coalition government with the Liberals if elected.
@josiahz213 жыл бұрын
American here hoping for a libertarian wave but I’m also a realist. The party is talked about as a joke here and anytime someone tries to make a new one the msm nut picks them to death or labels them terrorist in nature. Best of luck bud.

The authoritarian impulse has always had a place in anglosphere governments. For example, internment of US citizens of Japanese descent during WWII. Canada did the same thing. Very important to watch developments in AUS and NZ.
@mightymodo3 жыл бұрын
It isnt just "anglosphere" govt. Its simply a human trait that has been displayed worldwide. Power corrupts... the more power, the more corruption. The more corruption, the greater the desire for power.

I’m baffled watching the Aussie cop choke, slam, and assault women in public for not wearing masks with little reaction. No way would I sit, watch, and film that. Hope it’s not what we have to look forward to in the states. But I fear it will get worse before it gets better.

Great interview. I'm from the UK and I think Carl is being optimistic. I live in the north of England and immigration has blighted my home town and county. If the demographic change continues, as it looks to do, then there will be a very violent future ahead for England and the rest of Britain.

@richardk52463 жыл бұрын
@@MrJigarparmar It might very well just do that. I don't think the West collapsing will work out so well for those who seek or relish in the idea of its downfall either.
