Wow, I never would have thought of the Banjo Bolt being the culprit. Good job troubleshooting that Joe. Also, nice "Hints from Heloise" on the chip clips. grin Thanks for the followup.

Yeah it was a tricky one to figure out Fo Sho! Sure I could see a bad caliper out of the box but not a banjo bolt! Lol yeah those are the BEST chip clippies EVER!!!!! The store bought ones are junk!

Dude!!! What a pain in the d!C! Nice catch though! 12yrs I've been a brake specialist, never come across that one and don't know if I would have checked the hole position on new banjo's either. Guess you just got lucky! Nice of the supply house to offer you some compensation too.
@AveRage_Joe4 жыл бұрын
Was a total pain in the Dink! Almost took back the calipers as bad and Im betting if I did Im pretty sure wouldnt have even used the new hardware and would of had ended up with the same issue!😲 Then I would of started replacing hard lines thinking one was clogged which would have still not fixed the problem! CRAZY!

I will DEFINITELY have to check this out, as I have replaced all the same things, and am getting a pull that i don't recall having before. And I did a TON of bleeding as well.

@AveRage_Joe4 жыл бұрын
BOOOOOOM💥💥💥💥 Powerwall vids will be back here in a vid or so. The suburban has a lot of miles on it so many original parts are on there way out. So in turn have been doing a lot of work replacing/fixing!🤘
@bobj88964 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Glad you figured that out. Calipers are so simple but can be such a pain tracing a weird issue like that. You remembered the key though, back track my steps after I've replaced obvious potential points of failure. BTW a hose and air bubbles were both very likely candidates and you explained why as always.
@AveRage_Joe4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Man! Was tricky to track down for sure! YES!!! Brake pull after parts change=change hoses cause there old and can cause brake pull=check parts replaced cause still have brake pull💥🤘 Yeah most videos I do I always try to at least explain some cause and effect(if I remember to) cause it may help another fix an issue and it also helps me re-think troubleshooting!

Isn't it a great feeling when we can trouble shoot and actually fix a problem. Took you a week and a half to think of that bolt. That is why I hate it when someone says 'you are thinking too much about it'. The thinking 'too much' gets it done.

It is a great feeling especially when all other suggestions and thoughts fail! All I do is THINK lol😆🤘💥

Well who would have thought. Suppose it was the only thing left to replace. Yes I would have been just a little pissed with the supplier
@AveRage_Joe4 жыл бұрын
Yeah was one of the last options lol. Almost took the calipers back to swap out. Cant say I would have even used the new hardware so I would have had the same issue and continued to search!

You repair air planes and should know that replacing parts for original manufactured design is a must otherwise planes fall out of the sky. lol. I guess you couldn't see the hole difference and was the supply fault anyway
