A majority of 80s clothing would blend perfectly in with today's fashion. Even makeup and a lot of hair styles were normal. Every decade, the fashion industry creates new looks and fits in clothing and makeup/hair. Those are used in movies especially. But for instance, jeans and a t-shirt for several decades has been the most common clothing worn. While the 80s did open everyone to brighter colors in makeup, neutrals have always been the popular choice. So in the end, most fashion is similar since the 70s. Some things stand out when designers come out with something that the public likes. Also singers and movie stars influence the public in the looks they desire.

I've always found Gloria Hunniford to be loud and brash. She has had sadness in her own life with her daughter passing away at a young age (late 20's) but I think she should definitely have applied more grace/humility when interviewing one of the most incredible and beautiful actresses ever to appear on the screen. Audrey carries herself with such politeness, such empathy and such grace. A very beautiful soul.

So much grace and beauty. Audrey talked the talk and walked the walk, as an ambassador for Unicef, she had a child experienced first hand what they did and then would speak about their work later on, helping to get funding for the cause.

Gorgeous woman. I remember an interview with her in 1989 on Dutch television. I was 15 at the time and although I knew her name, had no image of her. First and only time in my life I felt genuine attraction to a woman 45 years my senior, I was flabbergasted. Looking now, I can't help but feel the same. Just wow. Thank you Audrey.

@@chopin65 My wife died at 27 over thirty years ago. I'm sure the neighbors felt God had made a grievous mistake by taking her and leaving me but that's not how it works. Everyone dies cause everyone sins. God sent Jesus for us to believe upon. With Him, there's forgiveness. That's it. There is nothing more, and yet He is abundantly more than enough for traitorous mankind. Check Him out.

you know... hearing Audrey talk about not having curves and having to learn to accept with Marilyn and her curves etc like that means so much to someone like me who is stick thin and wishes to be curvy in this thicccc society so ya the weight/looks questions are not ideal but it made me feel better hearing someone so beautiful and amazing talk about problems that I too face. It’s ok to not be curvy!!!!!
@poli81535 жыл бұрын
Life is too short to worry about that. You are fine just the way you are. Don't let this stupidity and obsession of today's society make you feel like you should look like this or that. There is far more to life than that. Enjoy and love yourself

Girl, thick girls wish they could be skinnier and skinny girls wish they could be thicker. Our world is one of envy. So love what you have and make the most of it. If there's something about you you'd like to change, change it if you can. If you can't, embrace it and learn to like it! Life's far too beautiful to be worrying about such things

I'm in my late thirties.. All my life I have been criticised by men for a lack of curves.

I wish I could be slimmer, almost like a sliver of a person. It's degrading to have people commenting on the way you look or even just looking at you. My personality is really shy and introverted, so I wish I could look the same way I feel. But you should embrace yourself the way you are, life is really too short for all this nonsense in the grand scheme of things.

Not only that but this interviewer did ZERO research as to why Audrey was so thin. Kind of bummed me out because not only was I thrilled upon hearing Marilyn’s name being brought up for once in front of Audrey but this wasn’t the way I wanted to see a reaction from it. I would have preferred for her to ask Audrey if she would have ever done a film with Marilyn or something along those lines, but definitely not being asked about their different body shapes.

I think, despite her efforts for UNICEF, that the frustration and despair of the abuse and suffering of children without effective government intervention, ultimately contributed to Audreys early death from cancer. She was used by the UN because of her fame. RIP Great Humanitarian!
@SuicideboysGrey593 жыл бұрын
well, maybe, but also being a life long chain smoker (it was very normal during Audrey’s youth as everyone and their mothers smoked, it was deemed as “cool” and the devastating effects weren’t at all known yet). But, given that fact that Audrey was sick with cancer during her tour with UNICEF, I’m sure seeing such horrid living conditions with little government intervention didn’t help ease her nerves and concerns.

This was such a delight. Audrey Hepburn has always presented as an intelligent, talented and stylish woman in her movies but hearing her speak with such dignity, honesty and love for the children in a world where that depth and meaning is shrinking fast l am touched to my very soul. Her place in our lives made such a difference.
