Satzbau Part I | Hauptsatz | German Sentence Structure I | YourGermanTeacher

The German sentence structure can be a quiet confusing topic for German Students. In this video (Satzbau Part I) you can learn the basics of the the German sentence structure, which is all about the main clause, in German: "Hauptsatz". The focus of this video is on the subject (subjekt) and the verb (Verb). In which position you have to put the subject and where you need to put the verb.
There are three types of main clauses which I will talk about and for which you can learn the specific position of verb and subject. In German the sentence structure is getting more confusing when adding adverbs, objects and other sentence parts. A quick tip about this topic, the German sentence word order you can find at the end of this video in my bonus tip.

@@masoudghahremani7913 i watched one and it recommends the next one and on. It was mix of A1-A2 vids. To be fair i didn't watch some of early vids like German alphabet before the exam, but I highly recommend to watch the entire playlist, even the ones that sound "too easy", considering i made mistake in the exam where they asked me to simply spell the name of the town i'm living in(Jayapura) and i simply didn't know how to spell J and Y in German. Please don't make such avoidable mistake like i did😂

Yes, the structure seems to be like a secret in German language courses, superficial, not clear

@@grafismo85 I think that might be so that people are not confused when they start out "oh no there are two ways to say the same phrase..." but I think that's not really an issue if you explain WHY two versions exist. my chinese teacher once said "there must be a difference if two words (synonyms) or two type of phrases exist, bc if not one type would just disappear." and that makes a lot of sense.

I used to be fluent in German after Highschool. Couple of my best friends are Germans, but had a motorcar accident and after woke from coma, lost a lot of language but 100% understand. It is weird, but these videos help. Odd, as learning when young then losing it, such things like sentence structure were totally natural. Now I hate speaking German because I sound stupid
