And then what about when that part is in a subordinate/dependent clause? (She hopes that I have turned on the radio.) (P.S.: One small suggestion for the title: spell "separable" with an A in the middle).

hi keith, thanks a lot! in perfekt you need to put the “ge” for the pp in between the prefix and the verb: ich habe das radio angemacht. for subordinate clauses its explained in thia video: you dont separate the verb. and thanks for your correction!! 🙏🙏👍

I want to get my money back from the A1.2 course that I paid for, I was not taught this at all! I find it hard to identify haupsatz and nebensatz in Gesprochenem Deutsch and when I hear trennbar verbs in an instruction for example, I get a bit lost. but thank you for this explanation I will try to put this all in better practice.
