birds shed feathers all the time, it does not have to be dead to collect feathers. Get fit, collect your own feathers. Connect to your work in a more meaningful way without the moral stress.

Abusing defenseless creatures is not art...it is animal cruelty and is shameful, unforgivable behavior. she didn't research well - I own geese and chickens and the MOLT and their feathers fall off naturally. I'm not sure she researched well enough to say what she said. Those of us who own geese and chickens and birds for that matter - we don't pull out feathers....for any reason. That would be cruel....and quite the opposite, I gasp when she said that's how you get them....which is false. I love my geese and chickens and during molt season feathers are plentiful. You can buy feathers that people collect at most any craft store.

WOW i can across your channel by accident and "Boy am i glad I did" 😍 i've just moved into a new place and wanna go into the "1920/30s Art Deco type style as I have a few original pieces that I inherited from my grandparents ,colours im using are the same as in that era with lots of pewter, silver, silver greys and black ect but i just don't have the Budget for all the really luxurious and glamorous accessories although with your help i think I'm going to be able to pull it off and have all the time in the world after recovering from a very serious illness in which I sent 17months in the hospital (I've always made my own arts and crafts but was more shabby chic, you have got me so excited "I havnt been excited like this in a long long time 😊 and I can't wait to start I'm gonna start with this piece here "I absolutely love it" and honestly I think it looks so much better than the original piece itself, its absolutly BEAUTIFUL 💖 as you yourself are!!! You are a kind woman. Most feather ' farm ' are part of huge company which after the bird is dead, triple that for holidays. I buy the feathers to at least give them Honer and not let them die for nothing. I am also Cherokee, so this means a lot to give back. I love you art either way. You are wonderful artist.
