It is a funny joke, but if you got liver cancer, a liver transplant is usually not an option. Because you will get liver cancer in your new organ too. It is not like to start at zero with a transplanted liver. It is not like changing an engine part. You get a new liver, you have to take drugs to depress your immune system because your body will allways reject the new part. And you got cancer cells in your body from before the transplant, so there you go again.

They both died this year Josh the nephew swelled up really bad all over his body. He refused to let me take him to the hospital. He said he'd go in the morning. He started hallucinating that night thinking snakes were attacking him. He was taken to the hospital and died. Drank himself to death at 34. About a month later the uncle Richard's liver failed in his sleep at 44. It's crazy how fast their conditions changed. I'm sad but more pissed off. Josh was my best friend since childhood and Richard was just a good man. They just couldn't let the booze go. I'm talking mostly beer too. What a waste.

I’m terrified that Bert is screaming down the path of Belushi Candy Farley. I know you can’t stop this runaway freight train, but this is going to be a horrible ending to a great guy.

And Ralphie May also. Overweight, addicted to one or more drugs, and funny. All dead.

Seriously- it’s not funny anymore and it saddens me to know that his friends and family enable him
@lionslicer99992 жыл бұрын
He might be, but he's outlived all 3 of them by a good bit. Candy was the oldest at 43. I think the fact he does mix in exercise and he will go sober for a month here or there has kept him alive.

Bert exercises all the time though and he isn't doing heroin or coke.
@MarkElDeiry2 жыл бұрын
@@randylynch4330 true he doesn't do heroin or coke. And he does exercise. Not quite as much as he eats and drinks because he's still very overweight and I'm guessing he has rather severe sleep apnea. Also, he drinks a gallon of Kool aid a day. (Overly concentrated Kool aid, if I remember Tom's reaction correctly.) And he drinks a ton of alcohol, including sometimes on average days during the day when he's doing a podcast. Put that all together and that is an extremely high risk profile.

for the past few years podcasts have inadvertently been documenting Kreischers slow journey into oblivion. If all you (friends and close associates) put your heads together, you might just save his life.

Him explaining Bert's dinner sounds exactly like the Farley story Adam Sandler tells at a restaurant. God I hope he's in control.

After the new two bears an old ep from the LA studio autoplayed and I finally see how much he’s put on. You don’t notice seeing it every week. I was pushing 300 lbs my senior year of high school, joined gym class mid year and got serious, was under 200 by summer and ran into friends I graduated with that didn’t recognize me bc they never noticed it happening in real time.

The trauma I have from my love of the drink is completely embodied by bert and how these 'funny' stories give me nothing but anxiety and emotional flashbacks. Honestly kinda makes me sick. I hope he gets help.
@JNJ10142 жыл бұрын
I know EXACTLY the feeling you mean, I get extreme anxiety & shame when I remember the disgusting amount of drugs, food & alcohol I used to consume before I got sober 5 years ago. IDK why but recently I've been feeling more anxious every time I see Bert or hear stories about his lifestyle, I seriously think he's going to die unless he gets help soon.

1:18 - Yeah, there's about an 80% chance that Bert will not live another 2 years. As soon as I saw the title to this clip, it made me think of the stories I've heard other comics tell about going out to dinner with 3 different guys: John Belushi, Chris Farley, and Ralphie May. All 3 of them were known for ordering basically the entire menu and thinking it was funny. Sadly, it seems like a pretty good way to end up dying way too young. I really hope they care enough about him to see the signs and get him sober and healthy before we start seeing videos about how much they miss him and his zany antics.

Why are they letting this happen with Bert? How can they just watch and laugh seeing a close friend going down that road? It's time to get a intervention of some sort going for Bert or he will be in the grave on his 50th birthday, just working out the next day after a binge doesn't fix the issues that come with excessive drinking and what it does to the body besides gaining weight.
