What I'm noticing immediately is that with teams or friends in every role, you can really do something and it's loads of fun. The problem is that if you don't comprise at least half the team, victory is not in your hands no matter how good you play. 6v6 is polarizing in that the tank combo selected has a bigger role to play in match outcome over any individual skill unless you are playing 3x better or more than your counterpart on the enemy team. Even then you could still lose

As a DPS and a support, I feel way less helpless when one of our tanks is one tricking and the other has some capacity to play around it. Whereas in 5v5 with a solo-tank, that feels immediately fucked. And the one-tricker knows it too. Morale across the board feels better when everyone isn't shitting on the one guy and there's another tank who's trying to work with him to make it work. My individual impact isn't as large or game-deciding, but there's less scenarios where I feel completely useless. There are more messy permutations of tank dups in the middle between OP and useless, whereas in 5v5 it almost felt guaranteed that there would be a tank imbalance in one direction or the other.

@JordanYee there will be, in many cases, one guy who will get shit on for his pick. Like he outlines in the video, picking mauga is tantamount to deciding you lose, especially if the enemy uses any of the three defined strongest pairings of tanks, the same was true of roadhog in most of overwatch 1. Or if two tanks with extremely different roles to play are picked, they will ge absolutely rolled by two tanks with any synergy, meta or not.

Respectfully I disagree, I feel like your tank in 5v5 matters way more than your tank comp in 6v6, I love that it allows for weaknesses of a tank to be helped out by a different one. And I’ve been strictly solo queuing and finding decent success in 6v6 so far. And it’s not like I’ve played an insignificant amount of it. Been really enjoying the 6v6 idk if that’s nostalgia or what but it’s been very fun

In 6v6 though, there is so much sustain that someone has to make a mistake for the the stalemate to end. A missed skill shot or bad ult are almost always how you lose neutral. Also, trust me, I know when to healbot and when not to, I'd be a pretty shit main support if I didn't The team I play in, our thing is doomfist dive and not only is doomfist pretty shit in 6v6, its much harder for me to take a duel on Lucio. in 6v6, there's a right and wrong way to play the game, which is why it sucks for people who like to play in unorthodox ways.

I played a match yesterday with a Rein who claimed his mouse was broken and could only right click. He shielded 99% of the match with a few fire strikes and a few pins and we just barely lost clash. So not a crazy opening take at all that just shielding your team exposes a lot of bad comp play. When we were at 3-3 captured on both sides our Rein had 0 dmg lol

I'm still very much Team Samito in what I want Overwatch to be vs. what Freedo wants it to be. But the thing that sparked me the most was Freedo's comment about there being "lots of flashpoint" maps. There's not. There's two. But it certainly feels like it. Developers once revealed that their random map selector FIRST, picked the map STYLE randomly with even chances, then randomly picked the map within that Style. That means, you are going to repeat maps that have fewer in it's style/gamemode like Flashpoint than you'll repeat maps like Hybrid or Escort. I for one would rather have my fingernails pulled than play Flashpoint. Freedo wants hero bans, not I. I want to be able to select one map style to ignore. I hate Flashpoint so much I just soft throw it for it to be over ASAP.

Dude… I’m gonna need you to go and watch Samito… Samito is literally one of the scariest Tanks… His cool down cycle is not about how hard you hit with him, it’s about your shots, punches, and map rotation. It’s this doom was gliding all across the map and working the back lines which is what he’s meant to do. But that’s from what I’ve seen, and I play Diamond.

"Lifeweaver and Mercy easily get run over" - yeah like that would ever happen if a competent suppport player would pilot those characters. Its true both arent particular overpowered but they synergize very well with mobile tanks/dps. They have by far the highest uptime of all supports, regardless of mapstate, combined with their consistent healing and high survivability they can put out levels of healing far beyond the capabilities of most other supports. 6v6 also means having an inoffensive hero like Mercy/Weaver puts less pressure on ur other teammates to make up for ur lack of firepower. I enjoy Mercy more in 6v6 and already did back in the days for the very same reasons. Weaver needs help for sure, its just not enough even though his numbers might look impressive after a 10 minute game, for him to be good u need a team that heavily benefits from the positioning u can provide (99% on defense rounds). Over all Im convinced those heros are just one small buff away from a "nothing can die" meta in 6v6 and we all know how much people loved that. I actualy did :p

6v6 is too deathbally and really doesn't leave any room for flankers to make any meaningful plays not to mention that my pc's performance is just simply worse off compared to 5v5 so I'm gonna have to say that 5v5 is better for me personally. If they do decide to keep it, I hope there is a 5v5 mode and a separate 6v6 mode for people who want it, but I doubt they'd want to split the player base like that.

Doomfist is terrible dude, give him a try- A is waaay too high. He has almost no self sustain, his cooldown rotation is boned and any counter he had before now has the opportunity to be twicefold.
