This is nice and all but it's the positioning of these players that is the most amazing part. Because often times healers in general stay in easy to predict and get to positionings. Also it helps quite a bit when they can trust their teammates in top 500 that they will know what to do. Often times in comp the DPS doesn't get any kills or no one counters the enemy DPS which are constantly getting away with really aggressive positioning so it gets really hard to carry games if ana is being constantly focused down at the start of the teamfight. But yeah aim is mechanical part but positioning is the thing that makes these mechanical plays possible in the first place.

Well there's a difference. At diamond and below a lot of Ana players shoot at the rein shield in a random way. Pro Anas try to target the small interval when Rein is shield jumping or when they try to predict the Rein is going to drop shield, which sometimes doesn't work.

Im no pro Ana (I peaked yesterday with one game away from masters) but one helpful tip is that nade cancels the animation of hip firing. I see a lot of anas that nade then heal, but heal then nade does more healing per second.

To get better at zen and ana, predict where enemies go to get better at aiming. It also helps u with positional game sense Its mostly muscle memory over a few hours

Ian Tran Of course a big part of mastering ana is learning when it’s best to use which of her shooting techniques. Personally, as a low GM ana player, I don’t find using noscopes against genjis particularly effective as they have pretty small hitboxes and they jump a lot, setting up for easier quickscopes. But hey, we all have different playstyles :^)

Also a big factor in Ana is positioning! Note that most of the time they both play, close, within a dozen feet or so of their tanks or if they're far, they'll be in a relatively safe corner away from enemy snipers and the typical flank routes, with terrain to cover.

This is extremely helpful. After the armor nerfs, my aggressive rein play has always been punished, well maybe its because I'm always being discorded but since I'm playing a lot more ana now, this has helped a lot.

I decided to main Ana in season 12 thanks to mL7 and I climbed all the way up to 4.2k and have been hovering around that SR ever since. I was a Widowmaker main prior and couldn't get past 3.9k. If you can aim, Ana is a great character to play as it still requires your aiming skills, but not in the same way due to the forgiving hitboxes. It's okay to hit body shots, whereas Widowmaker and McCree for example, rely heavily on their ability to headshot characters, meaning your aim has to be very precise. With Ana, you don't necessarily need to be THAT accurate and you can still be extremely deadly. Of course game sense/awareness is key. One has to know when to peek and when to hide, when to save your nade and sleep dart, etc. One tip I learned from mL7 is when a team fight is going on, he tends to stand back and scope more/throw his nade from a distance, but once the fight is over and his team wins, he will push up a bit more to hide and get a cheeky sleep/nade or he'll actually be on the payload to dish out additional damage until the enemy team reassembles and starts coming back (you can see some of these plays off mL7's channel; Blizzard World and Junkertown to be exact).

Unless ML7 was playing your account you climbed on your own. Ana does require aim because the hitbox is only forgiving on allies not enemies

@@Henbot As I said, Ana still requires your aiming skills, but it does not have to be AS precise as say, Widowmaker or McCree where headshots are a big focus for those characters. I can run away and shoot my main tank in the ankle and still heal up. If you're playing Ana, that's what you should be focusing on, not shooting the enemies (of course there are going to be times when it is necessary, but not much if you're doing your job properly).

My advice for quickscoping without missing is to set up a metronome ticking at her fire rate while in quickscope. It's way easier to learn when adding sound.

FYI, this advice works for all of the DPS heroes except for Pharah. Hold angles where you expect them to be. With Ana, you don't have to aim for the head, but if you're a hitscan DPS, get that crosshair up at head level and hold your crosshair just like they show here.

i feel i have a good understanding of when to use which fire mode, quick scope still needs some work cause i can't get they rhythm right yet; fairly decent positioning, could still use work, but my biggest problem is my accuracy, can't hit a lot of enemy dps characters bouncing around my face, or i'll miss an anti-nade because i forget the trajectory and either under shoot, overshoot, or hit an ally.

I have 87% accuracy on Ana and the main reason my accuracy is perfect because I practice 9 hours daily on Ana paintball and QPs. I use 800 dpi / 14 in-game.

That's not important, it depends on the player. I play on 75/50 with Mcree so I'm able to turn around and shoot the dashing genji/tracer. I have vertical on 50 so I make small adjustments to track pharah's movement.

ML7 def has more potential output on ana because of his style but the fact is that human error is a thing and everything about jjonaks style of aiming is based around absurd levels of consistency down to a science. The reason he uses such a low sense is because more movement means more muscles used which means more accurate muscle memory and consistency. He does the low sense largely for zen though because of zens right click and the need to track well meaning as few unneccessary movements as possible.

Anyone that plays on console ( I played PC and Console) the one difference you have with Ana on consoles (also it nonsense people who say you can't be really good with Ana on consoles) is that a lot more console Ana's need to get closer to their team because the aim assist (which pretty much works as anti-mouse-acceleration) doesn't work long range. So the slightest movements can leap over characters at longer range.

Even though my aim is poop, I've always been comfortable with Ana in Gold and Plat because nade is almost broken and since battles are so chaotic you can just sleep dart in the general direction of a midfight a some idiot in the crossfire will be put to sleep- usually an overeager rein. I know it's unhealthy to play this style, but Ana just thrives on chaos.
