His great grandparents or his fathers great grandparents were probably mixed with some English but then breeded with black people later down the road that's why it's not like 25-30%.

English/welsh ancestry probably from his bajan side and the French ancestry probably from his Haitian side. Both barbados and Haiti had a major influx of west African peoples because of the transatlantic slave trade. Barbados was colonised by Britain and Haiti was colonised by the French, hence why bajans speak patois influenced by British English and Haitians speak creole influenced by French. I think a lot of people are surprised when they see European percentages in their dna tests when they expect it to be 100% African. Reminder that a lot of African Americans & Afro Caribbean have mixed white and west African ancestry too, Bob Marley, Rihanna, Beyoncé. Having European ancestors doesn’t cancel out your African ancestors. Learn your history and how you got here, there are so many interesting nuances when learning your own family history.
