As someone who visualizes everything, you should try and start writing out the whole thing rather than just skipping to the answer of 75. This video was helpful and I appreciate your work, but you lost me after trying to find X.

The part where he solves for x isn’t the focus of the video. It is setting up the mixture problems. If you have trouble solving for x, look up solving multi step equations.

I have questions on the philosophy of these type of problems. Some of the words used to describe a mathematical equation have other meanings in English, this creates confusion when you don't understand what is being asked of you. if you can successfully deduce and write the equation the rest is easy. but the confusion comes when all the different meanings involved makes an individual not know what is being asked of them

If we add 75 L of .18 + 75 of .30, we have 150 L of .24 solution. If we add another 150 L of .18, we’re there! 😊 The midpoint between .24 and .18 equals .21, which is exactly what we want! And we have 300 L of solution. Success ! ! ! 🌈 🏄🏾‍♀️ 🏄🏽‍♂️

The good, easier, clear way to solve this kind of question is using Algebra. as X+Y=300 , 30%*X+18%*Y=300*21% . Then, figure out the X and Y for the answer.

ya he didn't really explain that well. what you're supposed to do is add straight down the Amt. Sol. column: x+y=300. Then you solve that small equation for y. The solution to that is y= 300-x
