as a singer and musician, i love how she mentioned how she can get critical of her tone and other things within her complextion of acting. i tend to do that with my own musicianship, and hearing about how those "mistakes" or things happening in a certain way outside of "perfect" are inherentlty perfect in their own way really helps and encourages me to formulate things a lot less critically. sometimes our imperfections can make a performance even better .

Liza, the point you made about rest is essential. I was in a similar position this past year. I was building my business, and going to graduate school so I could build a better business. I burnt myself out so badly I almost had to drop out. It took months to “reboot” and redevelop my executive function. Rest IS part of the process. The interview was interesting and I loved that the interviewer let Liza tell her story with minimal interruptions. I do think though that he needs to be mindful of how he redirects the focus back onto the interviewee when they ask him questions about his perspective. Several times when Liza asked him a question, he abruptly shut it down. Thank goodness for him she took it well as others may have taken it as a bump in the conversation flow and clammed up over time. One way I've seen great interviewers do this is by researching a lot about the person being interviewed and using that research to guide the convo. First We Feast comes to mind. Loved the content overall though.

I’ve been waiting for a update on Liza. She was really constant in my high school years. Loved everything she made but then she just disappeared. I’m still very proud of her to this day. I mean she just voice acted in the new Transformers movie. Excited to hear this interview
