What i mostly don't get about American high school dramas, that in real life noone cares that much about school politics, I was a student body representetive (we didn't have a president of that) for 2 years, just because noone wanted to be one in our grade, and it was just embarassing. And nobody really cares about choir class and gym and whatnot, you have a life outside of school aswell, at least in Europe... only minor actual power comes if you're an university student body repesentative because legally you're an adult and you can debate the departments about their unjust demeanours.

Because no one would act like that in college. They are going to a public High School, which means majority of the people going to that school are just attending so there parents don't get fined. Plus Colin's mum is the principle and a lot of the plot relies on that. They also live with there parents which make this whole show more believable. In college you have to pay a lot of money to go there so they would spend time on things like The Crotch or care if someones mum is a teacher. The plot relies on them to be in High School

I'm a substitute teacher and a background actor on this series. All the highschoolers I've worked with look this old to me and some look like they belong in 6th grade. You just can't tell these days. BTW I loved working on this season and hope to work on the 2nd. Great job Anna. The whole shoot is well crafted and the story lines (no spoilers) are amazing. Anna, I just finished the season and I wanted you to know that it's truly amazing. Farrah's character was the best thing ever. You're an extraordinary actress, really talented. Not only Farrah is popular and all those stuff, but she's also loyal and devoted to her friends. I loved Colin too, what a cutie pie. Since I don't go to an American high school, I don't really mind the unrealistic dialogue. I think that why many shows uses high school as a setting for drama is due to its unique social hierarchy that kinda dissolves in college and in real life because ppl aren't forced to stay in places which they don't like. If you can suspend your disbelief on the intricacies of high school, I don't think they are using them as pure stereotypes, and has actually put thought behind the character's motivations. (Anyways Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why Dialogue is way cringier, maybe cos you have seasoned actors executing unnatural dialogue.) It's quite funny that the popular girls play bridge though.

The last time we had a show that was realistic to what high schoolers actually go through was Degrassi: The Next Generation with the ORIGINAL cast. They all dressed like normal high schoolers (until Manny went berserk lol). There was regular drama, not the other the top mean girls. Until sin came into the world through the first human beings who were adam and eve. it was because of their sin and the sins of all humans that God cursed the earth and human beings and brought all these punishment to the earth. But Yahushua(Jesus) came to save us from the everlasting consequences of sin. According to the bible, anyone who has sinned once in his entire life is guilty of breaking God’s law and commandment. And a law breaker must be punished. all the good things he might has done all his life cannot cover it up. Neither can his pleading for mercy and promised not to do it again cover it up. That is not a wicked judge who refuses to pity him. That is justice. According to the bible, God does not forgive sin unless there is a payment for the sin, and the payment is death. In the bible it said, the payment for sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life in Jesus Christ our lord. For God said, the soul that sins shall die. It is only through Yahushua(Jesus) that sins are forgiven because he is the son of God who came down from heaven to earth in human form through the virgin mary as an israelite named Yahushua whom the world calls Jesus, to suffer, bled, was beaten, was spat on, was nailed to the cross and died on the cross for our sins. But on the third day after his death, God his Heavenly Father raised him up from the dead. and after he had appeared to his disciples and other eyewitnesses who were also his followers, to assure them that he had come back to life, he ascended back to heaven and sat at the right hand side of God his father. That was how Yahushua(Jesus) paid for our sins, so that whoever repents of his sins and believes in him and begs him prayer to be his lord and savior and to forgive his sins and is baptized and apologizes to those he had wronged and forgive those who wronged him, will be forgiven and saved from the end of the world where God will send down fire from heaven to earth and destroy the whole earth and everything on it. That day which is called the day of THE LORD which is also the day of YAHUWEH, will also be saved from hell fire after death and the lake of fire where all unrepentant sinners who rejected Yahushua(Jesus) as their lord and savior will be thrown on judgment day to be destroyed and separated from God forever. And the Bible calls the lake of fire the second death. Please we are in the last days. All the signs of the end of the world that Yahushua(Jesus) spoke about Are taking place now. Earthquakes, famines, floods, distress of nations, with perplexity, wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, pestilences etc. Yahushua(Jesus) said that all these are signs to his return, signs to the great disasters and sufferings that are coming upon the whole earth, and signs to the day of judgment. The world will not last longer. The bible said that, God wants to put an end to this wicked world and destroy the earth and wipe out all sinners. And then transform it into paradise earth where only holy people of Yahushua(Jesus) will live forever in happiness. Please we should repent of sinning now and believe in Yahushua(Jesus) so that our sins can be forgiven so that we can escape all these horrors. Here is the list of sins. Emulation, pride, gambling, sexual immorality, smoking, alcohol, drinking, partying, clubbing, flirting, violence, cursing, tattoos, drugs, hatred, pride, using the title GOD and the name of his son Yahushua(Jesus) as curse words which is called blasphemy and a terrible sin if you we are females, we should stop wearing makeup, wigs, artificial eyelashes and nails, jewelry, pants, short skirt, high heels, half-naked clothes or tight clothes. Many Christians said Yahushua(Jesus) told them in dreams, visions and death experiences that those who do any of these will end in hell. TheCeska90 eh, I find the dialogue fits the tone well. It isn't supposed to be realistic; it's an exaggeration of the shallow high school experience. Fake? Sure. Not Entertaining? That's a stretch. Not to mention this is the first episode; we have very little in the terms of character development as of now and yet I still enjoy the characters.

I am glad the cast and crew had the opportunity to make something that seems like fun. However, I am not sure I will watch the rest of the episodes due to the show featuring elements that just do not appeal to me too much. The dialogue is noticeably unnatural for the high school setting even for someone a few years removed from high school to notice. Except for the dynamic between Anna's character and the Crotch guy, there is no one I am intrigued to learn about even with an inciting incident like a death at a school. Although I wished I liked this show, I hope it gains a following for its targeted demo.

Hey Anna, I just finished watching the whole series and I just want to commend you for what you have done. You are truly an inspiration and made me live my life differently. You touched my heart on episode 8 and I hope you continue making these sorts of videos. I shed a few tears ( a lot more than a few ) when you decided to take the mic and tell what you told to protect the others, although you were the only who was the most hurt out of everyone else. I am so hooked on this show. Binged the first 4 eps tonight, and plan to eat the rest tomorrow. The story is fantastic and multi-layered. Love the characters, especially how no one is completely all-good or all-bad. The script is terrific. I'm too old for this kind of stuff, but I just can't help myself. Anna is my guilty pleasure.

Anna could pass as a college senior, but not as a high school kid. It's just too much. Only a few of the actors look close to high school age, like the blonde girl. But really it's the terrible dialogue that makes it so unbelievable. If the dialogue were more realistic, then I could forgive how old they look.
