I know! But she was in the top 12! That's really hard to do esp for her because she was only 9 years old (maybe even 8 going on 9) which is the youngest age in this group, which is age 9-11. She's at a huge disadvantage in terms of age and development, so for her to even be in the top 12 when there are many who are older and at a more advanced stage is already a huge achievement!

Maybe because she's so young, 9 or so, so they want to give the "older" dancers a chance knowing this little dynamite will sure be back to sweep the competition sooner or later. :) But she sure is a flawless dancer on a music box! A little robotic but breathtakingly beautiful nonethless. Maybe it's also a touch of the emotional experience that they're looking for...

At her age it’s mind blowing. The only thing I can think of how she didn’t get higher, is girls having more artistry. She had the same face and very “safe” arms, not an elaborate epaulement like some of the girls had. But the youngest in the category… those turns. She’s incredible.
