The 7 was back in 1982. In 2008 (before mass social media) it was already 42

Thanks for commenting and adding to the conversation! I appreciate it. Not that the date matters much, but on multiple sources I found the history of the rule of seven dates back to the 1930s… “This marketing principle is a maxim that was developed in the 1930s by the movie industry, which found through research that a potential moviegoer had to see a movie poster at least seven times before they would go to the theatre to see a movie.” No matter the date, the principle is solid.

The problem is that we, Gen A en Z have this talent of blocking out ads automatically. Mass ads don’t work. i recommend reading Seth Godin’s permission marketing

But unskippable YT ads do still win compared to other payed media (ig, tiktok, …). Earned media will ofc win overall.

Seth Godin has such great insights. I’ve read much of his work. The point I’m making in the video is that marketing requires a multi pronged approach and an ad won’t work on its own. With your feedback about Gen A and Z skipping ads, all the more important to understand that an ad is just one of several touch points required to convert a potential customer into a paying customer. Thanks for commenting!!!

@@morejanda thank you for replying back in depth!!! I strongly believe that the organic content marketing is the hardest but most efficient form of advertising. You & your content are a perfect example!
