Now starting from next year, we will be dealing with these ads no matter what video we watch on KZbin. Originally, KZbin said it would attach ads to channels that achieved certain conditions such as a minimum of 1000 subscribers and over 4000 hours of viewing time and split ad revenue with creators accordingly.
However from 2021, it is said that KZbin will randomly attach ads to channels that don't even meet their conditions and will claim all the ad revenue. Many have criticized Google by saying that they are blinded by the idea of making revenue from advertisements.
On the other hand, Experts say that the whole situation is reasonable and that because Google had always relied on personalized ads for revenue, they had to make strategic changes in order to adjust to the dynamic IT ecosystem and National Regulations.
