In China, KZbin is blocked since 2009, and it's at the same time one of the most popular sites 😂 Over the time of more than a decade, the VPNs that allow us to watch it have changed many times. Sometimes the connection is slow because probably a million other people watch it at the same time from the same area. I think you can relax, and if they try you just have one more story you can tell us.

Russia Media Monitor has grown 500% on KZbin in the last 4 months. Solovyov Simonyon and Skabeva have a big following -- just not with the reception they might want. I’ve recognized your talent ever since I started following you. In fact, I’ve seen you mature in front of the camera, and in the editing process. You are, without doubt, the most courageous KZbinr. Personally, I was hoping that when you visited Georgia that you would stay there, but you are right: Internal change can only happen if YOU are willing to stay. There has been a mass exodus of most of the Russians with KZbin channels. I have seen people ask, “Why don’t you leave?” I understood the reason you remain. Greetings from Canada. 👋 "... deliberate violation of Russian legislation." The concealment of Jews would have been considered a violation of Nazi legislation and those charged faced severe penalties. The genocidal Nazi Holocaust (and the Soviet Holodomor) were totally legal - in fact mandated - by the laws of the day. Merely being codified into legislation does not automatically make something smart or morally right, as many high ranking Nazis would discover after the war in Nuremberg. IMHO obviously bad laws deserve to be broken. As for KZbin, unless Russia is disconnects itself entirely from the internet, there are VPNs and other ways to get around ham-fisted government censorship for those who know how to use them. Maybe the Putin Kleptocracy will one day require you to have a licence to use a VPN? These can't simply be banned because they are widely used in commerce ( for example my studio requires me to use their supplied VPN client to remotely work from home and banks use them to ensure security of financial transactions ). Maybe one day only Russian government VPNs with secret government 'back-doors' will be legal? Can you imagine how efficient a government created VPN would likely be? It just gets sillier. How many more Russians does the Kleptocracy want to piss off? How many more valuable, skilled, entrepreneurial young people do they want to abandon a Russia who desperately needs them? Do they even care? One thing I've noticed in over 40 years of making a living with computers is that government legislative reactions to things they don't like online take a long time to become law and are often very blunt instruments that are effectively overcome by the many ingenious programmers online pretty quickly, which leads to dragged-out court challenges, the loss of which (in those countries where the government is not above the law) restarts the slow, clumsy legislative process. Rinse, repeat. The internet is always one step ahead. IMHO even Prigozhin (experienced as his minions may be with online interference in US elections) cannot change that. "...that Americans will come and regulate [a defeated Russia] as soon as possible..." This is utter nonsense clearly crafted to raise the blood pressure of patriotic Russians and disenfranchise them from what remains of their common sense. There is no way the Russian people would tolerate a foreign country - especially the US - telling them what to do and he knows it. Thank you for having the fortitude to speak your mind Agent Nesty. Me too. Putin is a megalomaniac nutcase and a total control freak. He has pretty much said he wants to turn Russia into the USSR. It is already a totalitarian dictatorship. It didn't have to be that way. Other Russians have taught me that when Putin was first in office he could have created any type of government. He pretended at first to be all for freedom, but always intended to do what he is doing, once he realized he could get away with it. Putin has gradually tightening the screws ever since he was first in office. He is already King For Life. Free speech and freedom of movement are forbidden. Borders are now locked down. Jailing and torturing people for opposing him has gone on for a long time. Never mind the DOZENS of people he has had poisoned on foreign soil because there he couldn't just grab them and lock them up. And the innocent apartment dwellers who lived in Russian buildings that he had bombed so he could blame it on the Chechens. If I were religious I would say he is the devil incarnate.
