Man, I just wanna thank you. I know that based on this video that you've been experiencing a lot of negativity, but I just wanted to say that this channel is a big part of the reason that I love music as much as I do. I can't even count the number of artists, albums, and songs that you've introduced me to over the years, to the point where it's kind of become the foundation of my music taste today. I'm really happy that even in a state of burnout, you've found avenues that make you happy, and I'm still really excited to see what you do in the future. Good luck man :)

What YT stats don't record is how much your content can touch the lives of any individual subscriber. They only let you like the video once even if you really really like it. I doubt people post enough about how much they appreciate this channel because in all honesty thie feels like an overshare. But every time you drop a long video with song reviews it's like a factory reset that shakes me out of some kind of rut. It makes me pause and actively listen to music again. It minces my algorithm around so that I get more variety in my reccomendations. It reminds me that I am more motivated when I listen to music and as a flow on effect I end up being way more productive and creative for weeks afterward. It makes me send songs to my friends who I haven't talked to in a while and make plans to see them. I know that doesn't really help with the income side of things. But I hope it helps to know that the work you have put in so far is appreciated in much bigger ways than you probably realize.

survivor fans rise up. (thanks for sharing all this. this space is wild and weird, and to be perceived by people who don't know you and who often are perceiving you through someone else's perception of you (who also is probably perceiving you through someone else's perception of you) is such a surreal and frustrating feeling. also, having your dream become a reality sounds great (and like part of it is obviously!), but as you said, it turns your hobby into your job, which fundamentally changes your relationship with that thing. when the thing you used to do to relax after a long day of work becomes work then you are always working. how do I find a non-monetizable hobby?! anyway, I hope you find some peace in the new things in your life, and that you find a balance between life and making videos that brings you fulfillment.)

I've been subbed to you for about a year and trust me, even though I don't make videos I get where you're coming from. Thank you for introducing me and my friend to so much good music and thank you for helping me realize how beautiful the world of music is. You're great and I know this is way easier said than done but all the mean comments, there's just as many people that love your content and appreciate you as a person

Hey, you were a big inspiration for me when I decided to open a music channel 3 years ago (I think I even sent you an Instagram dm back when I had less than 500 subs). Now that KZbin turned into my job as well, I related so much to what you said in this video that I am kind of scared now. I have bigger plans in my life of course, I know the channel won't last forever; but watching this from one of my biggest idols really made me think about how much work I'm putting into this and what I could be missing. Anyways, thank you so much for being this transparent and for everything you indirectly did for me! I wish you the best man Always Forward.

that goal was an absolute banger bro what the hell upper 90 from that far off is crazy. I hope everything gets better from here on, you are an amazingly talented KZbinr and your passion for music is always evident. I feel like people who don't do KZbin (myself included) never truly know the extent as to how much work and criticism comes along with a job like this so thank you for sharing the things you've been going through.

my advice would still be to go for it! the stuff I talked about in here is mainly relevant to somebody doing it full-time for a living, for a long-time. I'd encourage you to make videos as a hobby if you're interested in it

Hey Harrison, I've been subscribed and watching your videos for probably 5 years now. I'm not one to leave comments but I, like the other people leaving comments, may just appear like numbers on a screen, but behind these words are real people whose lives you've impacted with your insights and recommendations. I'm sure that I don't have to tell you the impact that music can have on people's lives, and your taste in music, more than anyone else, resonates with me the most, so I'm truly grateful for every video that you have made. Other than the music recommendations, I always appreciated the personal tid bits that you share about your life and the stories that you connect with the music; you strike me as a guy pursuing a hobby, rather than an "influencer" trying to maintain a certain image. I understand that you don't want to have the pressure of sharing something deeply personal that may not land with your audience or the algorithm, but i would still love it if you could share some of your finds occasionally, be it new or old songs. Perhaps even just a Spotify playlist for your fans who like your recommendations without the judgement or the stress that comes with dealing with a platform like KZbin. Anyways, wherever life takes you, know that you are loved and cherished. Peace and love brother ✌️

I honestly don’t mind how much you post. I mean I’m used to you posting like once every three months or maybe if I’m lucky once every two months that’s that’s good gives me something to look forward to but if you actually did a video while every like two weeks, then I quickly become overwhelmed with all of your content.

Honestly, thank you for the venting part of the video, it was enlightening as I don't step foot into these parts of the internet. And also thank you for everything you've done with the channel so far and for whatever will work for you in the future. You have introduced me to some artists I now cherish dearly, especially Chase. I even wrote an email to him and he took the time to answer. (Random tangent I know, but Chase is just such an awesome musician and human, it's great to see the two of you keeping contact and everybody should listen to him 😄). Wherever you will take the channel, I will be excited to watch!

I listened to this video while my mom screamed at me to be patient cause I wanted to make eggs and she was cleaning, i began to get impatient but I watched this while I sat on the couch and waited for her to finish. I then proceeded to make those eggs, it made me anxious cause my mom said if i’m gon to share those eggs with my brother. I stopped the video so I could put on some music and focus on the eggs so I could relax while making said eggs. I then proceeded to serve the eggs and sat down while tortillas burned on the stove and got bored of the music I was listening to. While eating the eggs so then I thought it would be the perfect time to finish said video so I did that and it was nice and peaceful about the last 10 minutes of the video. And thought dang these eggs are mine but maybe I should share those eggs with my brother And this video encapsulated that whole thought process for me. I then saved my brother some eggs: the end. And thank u good video lol. Also the random review thrown in there made me laugh roller coaster of emotions fr thank u truly wishing u a good day 😭
